    I love my chainsaw.
I am a 55 year old girl (at heart anyway). I love my little chainsaw. I have the small battery to keep the weight down and it lasts plenty long for the amount of work I want to do at one time. Cuts through 6" trees easily making cleanup and trimming a breeze. Thank you Stihl for making a battery operated chainsaw.

    Does Amazing Job
I purchased this saw as an early birthday present for myself! Picked up on Saturday, charged the battery and took it out to my wood pile on Sunday. Wow! This cuts through wood like a hot knife through butter. I was amazed. Did a whole rack of logs quickly and used less than half the charge. The smaller chain size make a smooth almost "finished" cut like a fine circular saw blade. I'm getting up there in years, so my Stihl Farm Boss which I got about ten years ago is getting a little heavy for ... read more the smaller everyday stuff. So when I got it serviced and the lady showed me the MSA 160 I wanted one! Did my research and everything came back to this little beauty. Very impressed. Got the 12" bar and I think this will do it all! Happy to recommend!

    Extremely handy and reliable
Excellent product for trimming and pruning. The 1/4" narrow chain cuts very fast and smooth. I was surprised with the amount of cuts, 4 to 6 inches that this product can handle in a single charge. I cut 3 to 4 hours with it on a new battery, (not yet fully charged) and still had half battery charge left when done. I use it with a AP300 battery and a AL300 charger, which I would recommend to anyone wishing to invest in this product. I do most of my work in town and on Sundays. I don't have to ... read more worry about waking up neighbors or interfering with church services because it is very quiet. This product is very well balanced and light in weight, which makes it handy when reaching up to make cuts.

Best battery- powered chainsaw we have ever owned.
A bit pricey but the compact size and the fact there is no rope to pull to start it makes this ideal for my wife. No gasoline engine hassles, of course. Pretty quiet. The battery is 36 volt and will do a lot of work before needing to be recharged. It recharges fully in less than 2 hours. We are very happy with it.

    Safest Chain Saw Ever
Yes, this chain saw cuts very well, is light and the battery lasts and lasts. But I love the safety feature. When you cut down a tree, you trim off the limbs, but the limbs have many branches that need to be trimmed. So you walk up, over, and between felled limbs and branches, all the time with a live chain saw in your hands, (and hope you don't trip). No more. This chain saw comes alive only when you use it. After each cut, you release the trigger and turn it off. To me, this is a huge, huge ... read more factor. And it will cut through some good sized limbs quite easily. Among my 6 Stihl products I have an MS 250, MS 361, etc. But this little chain saw makes tree work (I have 5 acres, fully wooded) so much easier. You don't have to start and re-start your gas-powered saws...this little booger will instantly come alive and cut.

Buy this saw and you will never go back to gasoline
Never in a million years did I think I would ever give up my gas-powered chain saw for an electric one. Now, after only a couple of months of ownership - I will never go back to gas. I am telling all my friends to make the switch. I'm going around the neighborhood asking people if I can do some tree work in their yard, just for the heck of it - this thing is so easy and fun to use. Lightweight but PLENTY OF POWER, and soooo quiet...you have to see it (and NOT hear it) to believe it. Now I'm ... read more looking to switch out all of my other lawn and garden equipment......!!!

    Great for the homeowner
I previously owned a gas stihl chainsaw for years. I made the switch to all the battery powered stihl tools so that my wife felt more comfortable using them. She refused to use the gas powered tools. After purchasing the chainsaw I was completely blown away. I have already used the saw for about 15 hours cutting down 7 dead trees on my property. The saw works very well and has handled everything thrown at it. This saw has all the power that a homeowner would ever need. The only regret you ... read more will have is that you didn't buy it sooner.

More power than I expected. Pricey
This chainsaw is ideal for light/medium duty homeowner chores. I have a 3 acre lot with oak trees and scrub brush in the Texas hill country and this tool is excellent for the routine maintenance chores on the lot. I've been very pleased with the power provided by the battery. This tool is lightweight, reliable, and very suitable for its intended use. The retail price is high, but I expect to use the chainsaw for many years and I was willing to pay for the Stihl durability.
