    Don't Like to Tap head
Used this product for about 3 weeks. Engine is great, starts right up and runs great! The autofeed Tap head sucks. Once the string wore out, it did not auto feed. Had to take the head apart and fuss with it, very time consuming, still would not feed correctly. Also the shaft is too long for me to handle when attempting to edge around the paved driveway and plastic edging. Can't get the angle right because the shaft is just too long for me resulting in butchering the lawn. Need to go with the ... read more DuroCut head if I can get this handle adjusted or shaft shortened.

    FS56R CE Trimmer
I had recently bough the FS56 with the loop handle. I like it a whole lot. Very lightweight and easy to maneuver when trimming. When i had purchased the trimmer it was an immediate 2 year warranty. I was then offered choice of fuel options which then extended another 2 years onto the warranty. Thats a total of 4 years just for buying a 50:1 6 pack of oil mix!!! The price was a bit high but i am happy with this purchase.

    Some PROS-----Some CONS
It does start easy...most of the time. It doesn't start well when it is hot even at no choke or half choke. Maybe it's a learning curve. It is a little cumbersome but I can get use to it. The biggest NEGATIVE is that it will not advance line properly. It either does nothing or it sends out 2 feet. Last use I had to either fix tangled line or put on new line 6 times. I really would like to have a trimmer that advances the line automatically,

My wife is a pioneering woman.
She wanted the EasyStart and the bicycle handles for control. She started at the house with the string head, but getting closer to the woods, some brush was more durable. She switched to the star blade brush knife and took down another acre of heavy, more woody brush. Then she ran into actual trees. So she put on the chisel tooth circular saw blade, and at that RPM it takes out a 2 inch tree in less than a second, and close to the ground. Wow, I really like this machine.

Great for a rural community home
This trimmer is great for trimming and edging around your home, fence line, and landscaping. It is not powerful enough for brush, but great for everything else. The easy start pull cord has it running in no more than three pulls. The trimmer is light enough to use without a strap, but it comes with one anyway. Definitely recommended!!

    Good value.
Money well spent. Very satisfied with this unit. Being 6'4" leaves the length of the shoulder strap lacking. Can't quite get the head as close to the ground as I would like. I will be asking my dealer if there's a longer strap available. Otherwise I'm extremely happy with it. Starts easily every time.

    Great ditch weed whip!
I have owned several different weed whips, this is my favorite so far! This unit starts on the 2nd pull every time , starting it is a breeze. I bought this model because of the extended shaft , I'm 6'1" and it works well. I let my dad borrow this trimmer once and the next weekend he bought one too! I also use the the Stihl premix premium fuel sold in the 32 oz tin can. When the trimmer runs on this fuel, there no smoke, and very little Odor. Ive had this trimmer for 2 seasons now , I've also ... read more added a Stihl leaf blower and chain saw to my lineup . Stihl products are dependable , easy to use, easy to maintain , and priced fair.

    runs like a dream
Why I didn't buy this earlier I don't know. Stihl starts up very easy, two pulls and it fires right up no bogging with a lot of power. It is not very heavy, it has a tall shaft which helps me from having to bend over I'm (6'1"). A lot of people wonder about cost, it may seem high but the quality justifies the cost it is worth every penny.

    Nice machine.
I like the machine,it starts easily and runs good,I have had some problems with the spool that holds the string. At first use I could not get it to advance any string, unless I shut it off and pulled it out by hand, I took it back and they looked at it,then I went home and used it to trim my yard and it seemed to work fine. I think the string was kinked up on the spool and thats why it wouldn't come out,so time will tell, but overall it is a nice piece of equipment.

This Product is a awesome machine at a reasonable price.
This lightweight and durable string trimmer is excellent for not only use around the home but also keeps up with everyday use as in small businesses. Overall an excellent product. Only downfall is the new head on the string trimmer with the two equal pieces of string. I really don't care for it.

    Too easy
I ran out of trimmer line today, third time I had used the trimmer. I was curious if the replacing and winding of the line would be difficult. Directions were to cut 6' 6" of twine twice. I cut the plastic material and then followed directions.....I had the spool ready in a minute and back together ready for use in under 5 minutes. I adjusted the handle angle (I am left-handed) and now I find the trimmer easier to use. My old trimmer was a straight shaft, and the new one is angled. I am ... read more getting better with it each time.

    Great Trimmer
So far, I am loving the trimmer. I'll give you the pro's and con's. Pro's: Great power upgrade from the electric trimmer I previously owned. It is super easy to start. It is super lightweight. It is fairly simple to work with for things like basic maintenance. Con's: The only real complaint I have with the trimmer is that the trimmer head is annoying when it doesn't auto feed. I had to take the head off and pull the string out 3 times when I was trimming, but I think this because it ... read more had cheap string that had melted together. I put a higher quality string on the trimmer, but I haven't used it yet.
