    Get what you pay for!
I used these gloves every day for four months before they wore out in the fingers. I work in the woods sawing up logs, carrying wood in and out of the truck, and after splitting the wood I get to stack it. As you can tell I need a reliable pair of gloves just as a pair of boots. I've never had a pair of leather gloves have lasted me this long. I've used a lot of other brands and other Stihl gloves but they would wear out in a couple weeks or months. The Velcro keeps sawdust and dirt out of your ... read more gloves and the pads are great for holding the saw and packing wood. If you think you are a serious wood warrior then these gloves are what you need. Take my advice, I've been there and have done that!

    Good gloves
I work for s tree service and wanted impact gloves. I ended up with a pair of thhese gloves. The fit was nice, they are light and protection was great. However the first job they tore. Not sure if it was a flaw or if they just aren't meant to be worked in this manner. I love the gloves but the quality was a bit low for the price.

    Excellent Fit
I've been looking for a place to review these gloves (they aren't listed on Amazon). I bought them at a hardware store here in Illinois, and they are fantastic! You really should try any sort of clothes on in person before ordering online to be sure they fit you, and with any mass-produced clothes, try on several of the same product, because cuts are often off a bit, even if by 0.25mm, and one will fit ever so slightly better than another of the same make, model, and size. However, STIHL does a ... read more fantastic job at quality control from what I've observed, so if one pair fits you, the others are pretty likely to be just as good. Now, for some things that stand out about these excellent gloves: First and foremost, they fit near perfectly (my hands are large, with fingers longer than most gloves have). I was frustrated that most gloves labeled "Large" have stubby 2" fingers. These STIHL gloves are meant for a healthy, large, male hand like mine, NOT chubby hands with stub fingers. Secondly, for the level of protection these gloves provide, they amazingly retain near full dexterity! The only gloves I've used that are more dexterous are surgical gloves. The STIHL Outdoor PRO Gloves are nimble enough to pick up coins, tie shoelaces, handle tiny screws, and manipulate nearly all manner of small objects. This is a huge benefit when working in hazardous areas/terrain where it's ideal to keep your gloves on. Thirdly, though these gloves are a bit pricey compared to their lighter cousins, the impact plates (some kind of silicone or rubber) are placed in key spots where you really don't want stuff to hit your hand (like a 2x4 or scaffold rails). I do wish the padding was a bit more extensive, such as on the knuckles, thumb, and over the finger nails, but it's still very nice. Even the STIHL text on the top of the wrist has impact plates. The palm has excellent padding, thick enough to protect, but thin enough to remain dexterous. Final thoughts: The synthetic leather holds up very well, has decent grip, but isn't too grippy like some of those gecko-fingered gloves I've seen. The nylon fabric that holds the glove together is sturdy, flexible, breaths well, and does a great job at wicking sweat away. The gloves are warm enough to use in cool weather (around 35-40°F), but cool enough to use in warm weather (70-80°F). I like these gloves so much, I actually wear them everyday, even when out and about. They pass for excellent driving gloves, as well as hiking gloves. I'm not sure how they'd do for rock climbing, though, since I don't do that outdoor activity. The overall muted colors work well with many daily outfits, so these gloves I'd rate as excellent general purpose protective gloves. I will buy them again soon, just in case if they are discontinued by the time my current pair finally expires.

    Outstanding glove
I am a professional conventional logger in northern Maine. I’ve been wearing these gloves for several months, through daily use of chainsaws and handling skidder cable and chokers. The gloves are extremely durable yet flexible.

    Stihl Goatskin Work Gloves
I love working in these gloves, they are comfortable and long lasting. They are not cut resistant, but I get a better grip on my saw and my hands do not hurt when done They will get stiff when drying out when wet but a little use and they feel like new. They are also good for using the bicycle handled trimmers, good grip and low fatigue..

The best 4 season glove for big hands that I've ever used
Just ordered my next pair today! These gloves have always been great and put up with briars and summer heat very well. For those with large hands, these are the most comfortable heavy work glove that I have ever owned! Buy a pair and never look back! Also, the cuff is great for keeping sawdust or snow/dirt out. Overall, great gloves!

    Best yardwork gloves out there!
I love these gloves for yard work. I've used them for everything from weeding and pruning to ripping out an English ivy infestation and pouring concrete. These are great because the waterproof area covers way more of the hands and fingers than other similarly styled gloves. I just order 3 more pairs from my local dealer.

Great All Around Garden or Work Gloves
These great little gloves hold up well and protect your hands from dirt and grime when working around the yard. Thin and light, but durable. Much better than the typical gardening glove I've purchased before. These last!

    Comfortable Tough Protection
When my “go-to gloves” finally wore out, I went on the hunt for a replacement. I picked up a pair of these in XL and I LOVE THEM!!! A little breaking in and they are like an old pair of jeans! They slip right on and fit! I also bought the dynamic chainsaw gloves and can recommend these for everything rather than the specific chainsaw gloves! These are much better and seem to hold up thus far with some hard use! They are my new favorite!!

    Comfortable, Durable, Great Wearing
These are the most comfortable work gloves I have worn. I have used these gloves in a variety of scenarios; trimming, hauling brush, mowing...and these gloves just go right along. Some things that I like most are how you can adjust and get the right fit using the velcro on the wrist portion of the glove. Also, the gloves are very breathable which makes it very comfortable to wear on those hot days. The gloves also provide the right amount of "anti-virbration" so as I tend to trim a lot my hands ... read more don't feel numb after a few hours of work. Highly recommend this pair of gloves as they have quickly proved to be the last pair I will ever need.

perfect to dampen vibration to hands
These are not "work gloves" per se. You use them as you would use oven mitts to pull something hot out of the oven so you don't burn yourself - but to insulate your hands from the vibration of the machine you're using. I've used these with the monster 560 brush cutter for a couple of years and they are worth every penny. They've been durable and cool enough to wear in the summer. Only wear them when your operating the machine. Use other gloves for grabbing wood or tools. Great for using brush ... read more cutters for extended periods.

    No more aches and pain
Not the prettiest glove out there, but gets the job done with less hand fatigue and pain. The glove material allows breathability so you don't sweat too much. The palm pads allows enough spacing to be able to grip the tool you are working on. Dexterity is enough to move a slide control, squeeze a throttle trigger, set a choke knob and of course pull the starter grip. Pressing on a fuel pump bulb can be awkward since you can't feel too much pressure on your finger tips, but takes time and ... read more experience. Overall, I'm glad I got these gloves despite looking like the tire guy. In the past, my hands ached after yard work using the Stihl 130R with the edger attachment. It has much vibrations and made my hands ache and cramp. In my opinion, these gloves work better than other anti-vibration gloves.

    Good for intended purpose
I was tired of having numb hands after doing the yard, so I researched who made anti vibration gloves. I saw that Stihl made some and went and picked them up at a local dealer. I can't comment on their long term durability seeing as I just got them today, but what I can tell you is that they work! After mowing I had no numbness or tingling and then after weed-eating and edging I had very little tingling. It was pretty warm today (96) and I didn't hardly notice them, so they work well in the ... read more heat. As others have stated, these are not intended to be regular work gloves. It would be a good idea to have normal work gloves as well. However, they work great while running a machine when you don't need fine trigger control.
