Great Product wish I bought this the first time
I now have both a trimmer and the blower/shredder vac. I have to say you get what you pay for. Both units start easy and operate flawlessly each time I use them. I wouldn't tell people to buy any other brands. I have had other names like craftsman and Troy built which I thought would be good products but I have always been left with problems shortly after owning. I finally bought a Honda mower three years ago after a craftsman mower just over a year old quit. Great for ladies too!
After my divorce my nephew lent me his old Stihl blower and bagger from his landscaping business. This was the blower that was not secured and fell off the truck and hit the pavement, but it still worked like a dream. I appreciated it because it had the bagger feature and was easy to start. Long story short. He moved the blower and bagger went with him and I went out the next weekend and purchased the same model with the bagging feature. Thank you for building such a dependable, easy to start ... read more durable piece of yard equipement.

    Great handheld power.
When my old blower broke I bought a BG 56CE. It did not have the power I needed, my local Stihl dealer let me trade up to BG 86 CE. It has great power to blow wet cedar tree stuff off my roof and out of my gutters. It is relatively quiet compared to my last blower. The engine runs so smooth, I don't get the pins and needles feelings in my hands after extended use, which is my favorite aspect of the BG 86. I also like the four year warranty (with purchase of Stihl gas:oil mix).

First, this is the best blower I have ever used.I have had echo, shindy, redmax etc. I also have the stihl br600 magnum, great blower also.the br450 cef has lower numbers on m.p.h and cfm, but you cannot tell a difference the electric start and tube make up the difference. Blows wet grass clippings, wet leaves and moves piles of dry leaves with ease. The end tube decreaser is great for moving wet material, remove that and moves piles and piles of dry leaves. Very comfortable, ... read more convenient and reliable. I WOULD RECCOMEND THIS BLOWER TO ANY PRO OR HOMEOWNER.

My crew and I are impressed
I have been using the Br600 &Br550s since they came out, I recently made the switch to give this electric start blower a 'what the heck' shot on the trailer and we are very enthusiastic about it. We can't tell the slight decrease in CFM but it's in between the power of a BR550 and BR600. Overall, the differences are minimal and I think the electric start may prove to be worth it. It is slightly heavier (3 lbs.) but the gas tank is bigger. Give it a shot in the field or at your home, I think it ... read more will stand up to the abuse like any other Stihl product.

Gets the job done in a hurry
This blower always takes just two pulls to start, is very powerful, and very comfortable to work with. Very happy with the performance, and after buying (and cussing at) three home improvement store cheap blowers, I should have just spent the extra money getting a Stihl in the first place!

best power to weight ratio of any blower with cool features
i have been a stihl fan for years except blowers. i saw this the other day , demoed it and took it home. you hit a home run with this one stihl. its light and powerful. the adjustable nozzle works great for me to adapt to my needs. it can play ball with the two strongest blowers out there.. the echo pb770t and redmax ebz8500.. and is lighter. i own all three blowers mentioned above and use them all but cant keep my br450 off my back. love it stihl. p.s. stihl i also own ( orange and white ;) ... read more ) ms192 ms290 fs100rx fc110 bt45 hl100

Great fuel efficiency + power = Job Completion
Is s quick-starting powerful machine. Great this winter for blowing/clearing snow and walks. Feeds leaf shredders as fast as they can handle. Machine is perfectly balanced, but torquey, so needs to be secure to operator. Easy for operators to start, even with minimal training or experience. Great starting even in 10 degree conditions. Will not overheat in summer with hours-long gas-and-go continuous use.

If you have land and need to save on time you need this product!
We purchased this blower and we have been extremely happy with it. One reason I could'nt decide if I wanted to purchase it was because I was unsure if was going to be too heavy or too loud for me to handel. It is just the opposite. It runs really quiet for a backpack, it is much lighter than I expected, and is very fuel efficient. After the recall on the gas cap, the product ran great with power to spare! It also cranks easily. I would recommend the BR 550 to anyone who is looking for a blower ... read more that has plenty of power for any job.

    Senior Friendly
I had reservations about this because of my age but after a few tips from an older guy working at dealers I had no problem. I am so glad I went with a larger model as it did everything I wanted. I live in the woods and had 3 feet of wet leaves piled under my deck but this blower took care of it so quick and not only blew them out but blew them far enough that there was no blowback. The weight doesn't bother me but twisting around to saddle up is difficult but guy at store said to just set it on ... read more picnic table etc. and back into it. Worked like a charm for older person. Every time I put it on in my memory I hear " Okay saddle up and move out".

    Best blower I've owned
This is one bad blower. I have nearly 50 oak trees in my yard. After hurricane Matthew we didn't lose any but it looked like a bomb went off. It took 4hrs to blow my yard out which one of took days without it. If you have alot of trees this is the blower you need.

    Awesome Blower
This is my second one. I gave the first one to my Son after realizing he really needed a blower (one season old). The blower is a little heavy for me but I love the performance. I keep my power equipment in top notch shape using only OEM parts and fuel mix. This machine will last me for years. Also, my dealer Covington Farm & Fuel is the best!

    A purchase without regret
I purchased my BR600 Magnum in Oct 2015. We have many oak, hickory, and maple trees. It moves the leaves quickly and efficiently, even when the leaves are wet and heavy. Acorns and hickory nuts are relocated too. A huge upgrade from my "light duty" backpack blower and much more effective than my neighbor's "professional" model 430 backpack blower. I can finish blowing my yard in about 1/2 to 2/3 the time it previously took. It is somewhat effective in moving light snow in southern TN as well! I ... read more only regret not spending the money and purchasing it sooner.

    Great power and very dependable
Best money I've ever spent on a blower period.I will probably never have to buy another blower.

Great design for the urban leaf blower.
Excactly what was needed in a noise conscience environment. Stihl enough power to lift wet leaves of the sidewalks. If I was to use it everyday I would probably go for the BR600 but since it is only used sparingly this does the job I bought it for.

Very Quite and Does the Job
I Maintain Grounds equipment on a university campus and we recently purchased three BR 500 Blowers for our department. All three are working great and it is much nicer around campus with the reduced noise levels from these blowers. We have many trees and at any one time are running 7 to 8 leaf blowers during the Fall to keep up. The BR 500 Blowers move less air than other blowers that are available but they provide enough air to do the job and as stated above produce noticeably less noise.
