CF3 Pro String Trimmer, Simply THE BEST
Up to this last week, I have used the Stihl, red, orange and green X string trimmer line and found the X line superior to the others. I just used my first spool of CF3 trimmer line, and all I can say is that it is amazing. This product extends the use of string trimmers by allowing you to cut trough thick weeds and heavy grass without the line breaking or the tool bogging down. It is especially useful when trimming up against foundations and rock walls. With the other lines, I was constantly ... read more advancing the line. CF3 is almost impossible to break, and it sharpens its ends instead of breaking when trimming next to abrasive walls. It comes in a small roll which is an inexpensive way to test it out.

    Very Impressed
Running a professional lawn service, we have tried every type and brand of line around. This line is the best we have run in 21yrs. It feeds, it's durable, it's easy to handle and dependable.

    Great for grass clearing
The quiet line is great for clearing normal and thick grass, but not for brush. This line is also very well constructed to you do not have to bump out new line every time you use your string trimmer.

    Great trimmer sting
Have used many types of trimmer sting in my day and when I bought my fs70 it came with the trimmer and I thought it was going to be a joke like most sting that comes with a trimmer but no this line is tough I can edge along walk ways and drive ways of my clients homes and my home and not have to replace it I was cutting through thick weeds and still did not have to replace it.

    Better performance than square line

    Great Trimmer Line
Have been using the Pentagon line for years in.095 size with AutoCut 25 head. The pentagon line cuts faster and is more aggressive than round line. Just switched to the .105 size line, better cutting than the .095 and last much longer. Check your cutter head to see if you can use the larger size line. You'll spend less time reloading the spool. I have 40 acres and spend about 2 hours a week trimming, so not having to reload the spool or tap to extend the line as often is a great help.

0.105 Round Red Line best all round, won't eat your spools.
I have the Combo string trimmer/pole saw, in constant use since 2012. It came with OEM 0.095 orange line.I was very glad to see the end of that spool. The 0.105 Round Red line reliably beats its way thru tough weed stems and doesn't eat the spool like most of the more magical high tech lines do, in my experience. Reliable performance. Resists welding itself together on the spool better that most I've tried.

    Best there is!
I have tried several types of commercial line in many shapes and configurations. I cut 3+feet tall grass, star thistle, bull thistle, blackberries, and many other weeds. I cut right to the ground, so I am in the rocks and dirt a lot. This line is consistently the best. Since I not longer play the experiment game, (trying new products all the time), I buy a large roll of this about every year and a half. This line is like my 055 trimmer, it just keeps working efficiently.

    X-Line is my favorite
I have used them all , there is none better than the hi-vis yellow X-Line .095 X-Line last longer than other brands , cuts smooth and makes it very easy to hold the trimmer at the proper height , without scalping. Thanks Stihl !!

    Great Trimmer Line
I have a habit of buying different brands and types of line for our trimmers- I've tried them all- Gator-Black Diamond-Ugly, but this is one of my favorites. The X-Line cuts grass as well as small saplings- you can hear and feel the string tearing into the weeds. Also it doesn't fuse together in the spool like others do.

When only the best will do
When u started my lawn company over 2 years ago we started with standard round commercial line and it was just ok. In an effort to improve time and avoid snagging and pulling on tough southern grasses we switched to pentagon and it did a lot better. Then after running through a spool of pentagon we tried the X-line! WOW! My lawn guys would be upset if I put a spool of round line or pentagon line on the trailer. Xline slices through weeds and tough grasses like butter. This not only saves us time ... read more but also improves in the area of fatigue because we are not fighting the equipment in tough. The shape of the like requires you do a really good job of winding the trimmer head spool. If you don't it will pinch and not feed properly. This takes practice. Overall my crew and I will only use Xline (.105) from here on out and the new hires don't realize how good they have it from when we used to use round line.
