Rated 4 out of 5 by from Make the BREAST STRAP standard equipment! I agree with the comments by others that the Shoulder Straps have a tendency to slide off during operation. Stihl makes a Breast Strap, Part # 0000-881-5700, that is currently available on special order from your local dealer! It has two slide-thru keepers that attach to the Shoulder Pad cinch straps. It has a plastic quick-disconnect buckle. This accessory if a MUST for users of this harness to achieve satisfaction. It also cures the same problem with the Stihl BR-series Backpack Blowers.I, and my Stihl dealers, did not know of the existence of this accessory until I purchased an optional harness from a Stihl dealer in Cranbrook, B.C., Canada. It was pictured as an accessory on the box that the optional harness came with. My local Stihl dealer in Ponderay, Idaho ran the part # and it came back as available from StihlUSA.The names of these harnesses confuses end-users & dealers alike. The actual product name of the above harness is: "Universal Harness ADVANCE" . The actual name of the "Forestry Double Shoulder Harness" is: "Forestry Harness ADVANCE".The harnesses available in Canada differ. They offer the "Universal Harness ADVANCE PLUS" & "Forestry Harness ADVANCE PLUS". The only difference between the U.S. & Canadian models is the attachment mechanism to the FS-series unit. The Canadian model has a vastly improved rotating, spring-loaded attachment of greater strength & durability. The plastic clip of the U.S. model is prone to breaking, especially in colder weather! Attn. Stihl: PLEASE discontinue the current U.S. harness models & sell the Forestry & Universal Harness ADVANCED PLUS here! They cost a little more, but are worth every penny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I bought this because my KM130R was quite heavy. This solves that problem perfectly. This is a must have if you want to save your back.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the right harness for heavy duty clearing saws I purchased a Stihl 460 clearing saw in March 2016. I like the 19 lb clearing saw, but this is the harness that came with the unit and it sucks. No chest cross strap to prevent shoulder straps from coming off. Do yourself a favor if you buy a heavy trimmer or clearing saw, but this harness in the garbage can and get yourself a Stihl, Forestry Double Shoulder Harness. The upgrade will make using a Stihl 460 clearing saw a lot more enjoyable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Plastic Belt Buckle, Bad Idea This is an excellent shoulder harness. I get good control of the cutter. Now for the bad part. The female plastic waist buckle is broken and appears to be sewn into harness. Do I have to replace the whole harness? Surely a brush cutter's harness would have something other than plastic to secure the belt. Consider the brush, brambles, and jungle like environment this saw has to operate in. Looks like I will have to use baler twine to hold it on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This harness performs as advertized. Gives greater control of trimmer and for me helps reduce back pain. Well worth the investment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not as Pictured The image shows a chest strap on this harness. The one I received does not have a chest strap. Other than that, the universal harness is typical Stihl high quality.
