Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first gas weed eater! I have a small yard and this weed eater might be over kill but I also wanted a weed eater I could put a saw blade on it. I was going back and forth on 2-cycle 4-cycle. So I bit the bullet and got the FS 111 R a 4-cycle. Being new it was hard to start at first but as I was using it I could feel it loosing up. You still need to mix oil in the gas but that's a plus to making it a lighter unit. If you buy the oil it increases the warranty to 4 years. Its been only one day of use but I believe its money well spent.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This product won't run this product only ran one tank of fuel and then it wouldn't run full throttle. I took it back to the store. They found out the carberater was bad. they had to order a new one. I have been without a weed eater for over a week. I asked to have a new one, but was told it doesn't work that way. I'm not happy

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Poor line strength I would rate this piece of equipment good for light yard work. The line breaks easy and I wind the line in the wire head as directed and the line frequently breaks and get stuck inside so I have to stop and undue everything to pull the head off and thread the line through the head. Great engine though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to operate. A little heavy but it is worth it. This trimmer is a beast in power so the weight saves me time over a smaller unit. Like some features over my 6 year old 90 FSR which was very good with no problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Trimmer I live at a high elevation and was concerned with it having the power to work for me. I have been very impressed. Runs strong and starts easy. I wanted a trimmer I was not going to have to spend a lot of time working on, but using it to trim with. This ones does the job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent trimmer Just got this unit a few days ago. I maintain a park a lot of trimming. I have a FS 250 with handlebars excellent trimmer lots of power thats kind of heavy for just trimming. so I purchased the 111r. excellent trimmer does not have the power of the 250 but it is a lot smaller engine so that is to be expected. The four stroke definitely seems easier to start than the two-stroke and gets much better fuel economy. so far this trimmer has been awesome I highly recommend it .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful, Trimmer. Bought this trimmer for a small lawn Care service.Might be a bit more power then I need for everyday trimming, but when getting into the large ditch banks it powers right thru everything without any loss of power or bogging down! Owned for about 3 months now have had numerous tanks of gas thru it and starts right up every time without any problems and gets the job down day in and day out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crazy Strong!! I've had this for about 3 months and although I only have a couple tanks through it I am very happy. I bought it mostly for brush clearing on my 7 acres that has been neglected any trimming for 5-6 years and has tons of 1 to two inch brush to remove. Hence the saw blade I can use my chainsaw sharpener on and Wow! I've cut 3" saplings with this... it didn't break any speed records but the blade wasn't fresh and I'd do it again before getting a different tool... A backsaver that still will easily cut brush under mower depth. Now I don't have the handlebar setup as I have a lot of slope on the property and I read that it's counterproductive for the harness on any kind of incline. I use the single point sling and that makes it easy to move from place to place, I can say the small leg brace the dealership made me buy with the blade is ESSENTIAL!! You will need to brace this steadily on your leg before making contact with anything over, say a 1/2 inch, at about a 2 o'clock position. And KEEP PEOPLE AND PETS AWAY!! I had it buck, granted when i was tired, and the head went about 4 feet so be careful! This is an amazingly fast and strong tool and I've had no problems with starting, reliability, or function. I do a lot of research when I buy tools and I'm still looking for somewhere that says a Stihl tool breaks after a few runs and a tank of gas. Save for the great big chainsaws and even those are rare. If you're thinking about it get it.
