Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like this trimmer, but it has some caveats I have used other FSA 56 trimmer and with the AK 10 battery it's run time is not stellar. I up-graded mine with an AK 20 battery and am much happier with the run time of the AK 20. Overall I am happy with this combination. Now for the caveats.First, the batteries are very difficult to get out of the chargers. Second, the line reel could hold more line and an improved design as it not the easiest to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to handle and works well for tasks at hand Use it weekly around the yard and always handles the task at hand. Have not had a problem with the battery life as of this review.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice product, battery life not as expected Lots of power and efficiency, the line advance feature works really well with a simple tap on the ground. The battery life was a little bit under what I was expecting as I feel as though it was more like 2 football fields of cutting versus 5 as advertised. But maybe the battery needs a few charge cycles before it is in its' happy home? Still would recommend this item.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Capable suburban yard trimmer For 20+ years I used a Black & Decker Grass Hog cordless trimmer with two lead-acid power packs in which the batteries needed replacement every 2-3 years. A bit heavy but the two packs were enough for a trimming a half-acre suburban plot. The plastic housings finally had enough fatigue failures that it was beyond repair. The FSA 56 is a worthy successor, with lighter weight, more power, and one AK-10 battery is enough to get through the 15 - 20 minutes it takes to trim the entire yard, as long as don't keep my finger on the trigger continuously. And since it's electric I don't have to keep it idling while I walk between cutting areas. It was also important to me, and worth a bit of a price premium, that this was made in Austria rather than in China like all the competitor products I found at the big box stores. Would rather have bought USA made, but could not find one anywhere. So no, it's not for day-long professional use, but for a decent-size yard it is more than capable and there's no messing around with gas-oil mixes, cleaning carbs, etc.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light weight and quiet. The original trimmer broke after a short period. The dealer was having trouble getting parts, so I was given a new unit. It has been doing very well. It would probably be helpful to supply a battery that hold the charge longer. I purchased an AK 30 battery to use in it and it holds the charge much longer. But am pleased with the trimmer and would probably buy another when this one is worn out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always Starts - not like a gas trimmer I hated the weekly fight to start my old gas trimmer. Not a problem with this model.
