Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed... I picked my new shield up yesterday and used it for two hours today. The sound protection is OK. I have a big head, but the entire assembly is too loose and slides forward making it necessary to frequently stop working to adjust the headset. Also, the screen is hard to remove and replace. Too tinzy and will probably brake soon due to the very small, and difficult to reach attacment points. I think I wasted my $$$

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor balance This face shield is poorly balanced and had a tendency to call off. The earpiotection and hinge for the face shield break easily. A helmet with a face shield would be a better bet. That way you can ware protective glasses for small particles and earplugs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good faceshield but you must upgrade!! I have used one of these faceshields for about 3 or 4 years. It offers good protection but is put together with poor quality fasteners. You must reassemble when new with good screws, washers, and nuts, otherwise it will quickly fall apart. I use mine for weedeating and brushcutting about an hour or two most days. Something finally has punched a 1/2" hole through the screen and the earmuffs have begun to crumble, but it has lasted a good long time and no one else has a model with earmuffs and no helmet.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Broke within 6 months I have the same problem as many of the reviewers. The round button piece that is on the side of the head gear that holds the screen on, broke. i used a piece of wire to try and keep the head gear and screen together, but the whole face protecor just slips forward down your face. Before it broke it worked as it should. It protected face and ears and you had great vision with it on, but broke with normal use within 6 months and now is unusable as you are constantly pushing it back up your face. It slid so far down I was looking over the top of the face guard. That's when I gave up trying to use it. You would think Stihl would do a better job with their accessories.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what I needed. I purchased this Friday and was sorry Sat. The face shield does not do what I need. It is not long enough, and too much dust and sand penetrates it. You not only need safety glasses but a face and neck cover to protect from sand blasting yourself. It would be nice if it could support a safety plastic shield.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage This is my second face shield. The first one fell apart. This one, on the first day has done the same. A small piece on side fell off and I cannot find. Can't find replacement parts on line either so back to the dealer to try and get a replacement.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It won't stay on your head Problem is that the only thing holding this up straight is the earphone head strap which, because of the weight of the screen assembly, slides forward while you're working, letting the screen assy drop. As one who wears a hard hat and hearing protection on the job, I should have seen this before I bought it, This needs an back of the head strap like hardhats have. I would not recommend purchase in this design.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from very poorly made This is the second brush shield protector I have had in the past few weeks. The dealer very kindly replaced the first one and now the replacement has fallen apart also. When the face shield is raised, it falls off the ear protectors and now it will not reattach. Total waste of money.
