    Good senses.
I wish I'd have purchased a unit like this thirty years ago. It was assembled easily with just a few snaps. This helmet protects ones head from debris falling from above, eyes and hearing. The full face mesh keeps wood chips, not just out of your eyes but from hitting any part of the face. The mesh doesn't obstruct vision. One fault is access to be able to wipe sweat or nose without flipping it up. The hearing protection has many different positions for comfortable protection. Once adjusted I ... read more had no issues with the helmet retaining band, the lid stayed put while bending, cutting, splitting(w/maul), and loading wood. My experience is limited to winter temperatures ranging from the teens up into the low forties. Before purchasing I inquired about the availability of replacement components. The dealer told me that all components should be available for several years into the future. He also explained the recommended life of these helmets is that of five years due to UV deterioration of the material. I will be sporting this unit anytime that I am cutting under the canopy.

    Perfect for home users
I got this in a package deal with chaps and safety glasses making it even a better value. It is great to have one piece of safety equipment to cover your head, eyes, and ears. You wont even notice the screen in the face shield, it is fine enough that you see clearly right through it. The ear muffs have almost infinite adjustability and swing back out of the way when you don't need them. The only thing it does not have it a ratchet adjustment system but that is why it is so affordable. After ... read more using this one time, you will never want to be out in the woods with your saw without it.

    saved the day
My wife bought me a pair of these when she bought my 661cm. Was clearing a steep hillside with my 034 av super. Lost balance and the saw smacked my leg. It stopped the saw instantly. These chaps saved my leg. I laughed when she bought these as I had never wore a set before. Guess who is laughing now. Will most definitely be buying another set. These things are not near as annoying to wear as I thought they would be. They make my legs sweat just a little more in warm hot weather but definitely ... read more something you can put up with more then a trip to er or even worst the morgue.

Best christmas present I ever got!
My wife gave me a pair of Pro Chaps on Christmas. I have been thinning some Pondarosa Pines on our 200 Ac. ranch and have cut down about 200 trees between 6 and 12 inches in diameter during the past couple months. Last week while cutting off some lower limbs so I could get to the trunk of a tree to fell it, a branch fell onto the saw blade and forced the saw into my upper thigh. The chaps stopped my Still 290 before it got to me. Not a drop of blood was spilt. I had to thank my wife again for ... read more the great Christmas gift. I am very glad I had the right safety equipment. After that experience, I won't cut without them, and I won't let anyone cut wood on our ranch without chaps. A lot cheaper than a visit to the ER.

    very comfortable
I may not have a paid job to where I need to work hard and daily, but I wear mine every time I head out to do anything. I've had them for years and have put them through the test, blistering sun to soaking rain, including the washing machine. I love these gloves, nothing else will do. I've worn holes in the leather and keep wearing them as I've been searching for a replacement pair. Nothing else will do. Finally went to a Stilh shop and they are ordering them in. Especially hard to find a medium.

    Durable durable and durable
I have had these gloves for six months now. I have a chainsaw mill and a large yard that I maintain. I run a 660 magnum for the mill and a 461 and 391. I am also running a FS110R trimmer with brushcutter and hedge trimmer attachments. For all of the running of equipment and the working that comes with it, these gloves haven't missed beat! I finally put a small hole in the nylon material on the side of the finger after months and months of hard use. For a mechanic style glove, I can't believe how ... read more long they have lasted. I have burned through other brands of mechanic style gloves in a week or two. Carhart gloves being the absolute worst. Stihl has a great product here, and I am going to pick up two or three more pair for the fall. Now if I could get Stihl to make a log splitter.

    Comfortable, Durable, Great Wearing
These are the most comfortable work gloves I have worn. I have used these gloves in a variety of scenarios; trimming, hauling brush, mowing...and these gloves just go right along. Some things that I like most are how you can adjust and get the right fit using the velcro on the wrist portion of the glove. Also, the gloves are very breathable which makes it very comfortable to wear on those hot days. The gloves also provide the right amount of "anti-virbration" so as I tend to trim a lot my hands ... read more don't feel numb after a few hours of work. Highly recommend this pair of gloves as they have quickly proved to be the last pair I will ever need.

    Could have been bad....
I was cutting some scrub brush at a friends place and my saw kicked back into my thigh. My saw stopped almost immediately. I took my chaps off to assess the damage, chaps worked exactly as they were supposed to. I had a line of bar oil on my jeans, but did not cut them. It took 45 mins to clean out my saw, and will need a new set of chaps....but WAY better than the alternative!!!

    Best chaps I've owned
I've worn these chaps for 6 years, logging weekends in winter and sawing 12 cord of firewood during the summer each year. These chaps have held up better than any chap I've owned. The benefit of the lower leg wrap is evident in winter. It doubles as a safety and to help keep snow out of my boots. They are light and comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to buy quality.

    Safety and Comfort
After seeing my uncle run a saw into his shin I knew this was a must have a safety item. Watch the video on youtube on these pants and it will give you a real piece of mind when using your saw. I purchased my chaps in a package deal making it even a better value. The Chaps are extremely easy to get on and off. Other than them being a little hot on warmer days, you won't even notice your wearing them plus it saves a lot of wear on your pants.

    Love the value.
I bought these as part of a package deal that had protective glasses and a safety helmet with visor and ear protection. These chaps are great. Awesome value and really comfortable I am a decent size guy at 6'2" and 220 lbs and they fully covered my legs despite their one size fits all. The nice thing is they were half the price of more expensive chaps and they are great for casual woodcutters. Also they are lightweight and easily cleaned when they get sweat and dirt on them.

Well Constructed - Wash Before Using
Purchased these as part of Woodcutter's Helmet / Chaps kit. Well constucted and fit well. Not as cumbersome as I expected they might be. "Apron" description is a bit misleading as they strap around both legs separately. Glad I noticed instruction on tag to wash before use. Washing doubled the bulk of the inner safety layers and will no doubt make them more effective in the event need them to stop the saw. Note to Stihl: you might want to make that wash before use notice more prominent, such as ... read more on a tear-off tag on the garment.

    great for yard work
i use these glasses to do yard work around my property. whether its edge trimming, using the chainsaw or driving the tractor around these glasses work well. they conform to your face shape to keep your eyes protected from all angles so you have less change of anything getting in your eye. i don't treat them the best but they've held up well overall. the only negative thing i have seen is that i left them in my truck dashboard in the brutal texas heat and i noticed some of the film bubbled up in ... read more some spots. i can still use them and luckily the bubbles are not in the center of the glasses so you don't notice it when wearing them. also with the uv protection it helps quiet a bit in seeing some things even when its a cloudy day or towards the late evening hours. once these glasses are no longer usable i'll be getting another pair. i would recommend these but just dont leave them in direct sunlight for too long.

This do everything I need and more.
I bought a pair of these 2 or 3 years ago with black mirrored lenses. I have done everything to them. I cleaned them with window cleaner and alcohol, and the didn't etech. Paper towel and sand didn't scratch them. They took twigs to their the lenses at 20 - 30 MPH, and only have minor gouges. They really saved eyes during four wheeling season, and they fit over my vision glasses. I swam with them too and for the most part they kept water out (When I pinched them to my face). The stihl logo does ... read more wear off though.

    Awesome Glasses
I am a landscaper and need safety glasses that I can trust. I purchased these glasses at the beginning of last season and they still look brand new. Not only protecting my eyes they also cut down on glare reducing eye fatigue. I now wear these anytime I am in the sun including driving. Can't beat them for the price!
