Upgraded from KM 56 RCE-differences from KM 131R
I was hesitant at first with going for the 131R. I am glad I upgraded. First of all, it's a little longer than the 56 RCE and being a tall guy, it helped me from slumping over as much. The 131 has plenty of power, never once did I desire more. It was an amazing difference using the same attachments with a different power head. The engine seemed content unlike the 56 which sounded like it was running much harder. I love the torque of the 131 and the sound. I read reviews about the 4 mix engines ... read more and not being able to feather the throttle. It doesn't really apply to the 131 in my opinion. I could run partial throttle without any problems. Maybe the smaller 4 mix engines don't have the torque, but this one does. The 56 doesn't offer the adjustments to the strap and handle to the extent the 131 will let you. The strap and strap mount is nicer and will swivel around when edging, the 56 is just a clipped in strap. The 131 will hit the rev limiter pretty easy with the blower attachment, but I feel like it pushes the blower to max performance. It has definitely reduced my time edging and mowing over the 56, it just destroys more grass and quicker. I was amazed. Wow what an upgrade!

I only have the angled pruning attachment , but I am looking forward to getting a couple more attachments
The angled pruner makes it easier to reach the taller hedges that I needed a ladder to get to before, so it is much safer as well.

    Good Power and Light Weight
This is an awesome power unit. Its nice and lightweight. Wish it had a bit more power but you have to give up the weight for the power. Handles a pole saw and trimmer very well. Dont really have a complaint. Fires right up and runs smooth. Much better than anything ive ever had in the past. Worth paying a bit more for a quality product.

2 stroke, light weight, starts easy, runs great!!!
I have owned many Stihl products over the years. Each time I go to purchase I compare hard but always buy Stihl and have never been disappointed. This trimmer is no different. I am a two stroke fan and love the fact Stihl brought this back in this product. They are easier to maintain and light weight. This 94r has all the power you need and then much more. This unit is light yet trimming is usually half throttle or less. I have used the string and the hard blades with much success. Tall and ... read more thick no problem. This includes heavy stems. I am going to purchase additional attachments soon and will provide reviews on them and refer to how this unit runs each. Im sure this power house will perform just fine. As far as support, let me share that shortly after my purchase I received a phone call from a Stihl Executive asking how I liked my unit and then informed me that they had discovered an inappropriate weld on a part. They had determined that 11 out of hundreds they had made had this error and mine was one. He asked that I take it back to my dealer and have the part replaced. He stated he had already sent it out and it would be there tomorrow. Now that is quality control, follow up and customer service. Yes these are machines that we depend on and they will break, but when you make a great product and back it, along with the end user operating it appropriately with proper maintanance and care, you will have a tool that will serve you well. That is a Stihl and this 94r is another great product brought to us by a great company right here in the good ole USA, yes made in the USA!!

    multitask equipment
Everything that I bought with this product was alright. I wish the handle was thicker and able to handle vibration when you use your bush blade attachment.
