Rated 4 out of 5 by from Adjustable Hedge Trimmer I really like this attachment and use it for small and large shrubs. It can also be used on small diameter limbs. The adjustment option is good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for getting under heavy growth and cutting the stems. I use this alternately with a KM94R and an FS90, when clearing Heavy woody invasives such as Barberry, Multiflora Rose, etc......and I've used it to cut stems over 3/4" in diameter, and given a few seconds it will chew through most anything. The only reservations I have, is that it isn't great cutting through heavy infestations of Stitl Grass, where it drags down as if you were stirring cement with a broom. For areas inhabited with this heavy grass, I use the Three Pronged Brush Blade or even the Circular Chisel Tooth Saw Blade. The key to succesfuly using any of these Brush Cutters is acheiving a good balance, btw harness and brush cutter so you are able to cut hours at a time w/o fatiguing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Ive always had electric black and decker hedge trimmers. Only complaint I have on this product is I didn't but iy 30 years ago. All the hours Ive wasted messing around with those electric trimmers all these years. Blades are SUPER sharp. Arm is sturdy and the ability to cut angles is truly remarkable. Cuts through better than average thick branches and trims like a champ. Could not be more pleased with the entire Kombi system. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good but heavy It works really good but it is so heavy after using it for more than 30 mins. Great for reaching those hard to reach areas without getting on a latter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent with an exception We have put the Adjustable Hedge Trimmer attachment through 2 gallons of fuel now. I don't want to know how many hours that entails. We have a good idea of its performance. It has been attached to a 131 Kombi head. The venue is a dilapidated 10 acre property in the Pacific Northwest. That means blackberries, reed canary grass, thistle, blackberries, scotch broom, various pasture grasses, blackberries and brush along a creek. Did I mention blackberries? This attachment gets hauled out for the locations where mowers cannot get: fence lines, ditches, hedges and 800' of creek banks. Why we like and recommend this attachment. Our primary use of the hedge trimmer is as a scythe. The adjustable angle is what makes the tool truly useful for our applications. It's so easy to change angle on-the-fly (but see below) that we often adjust to get optimal blade angle to the contour of the land being cleared. Since much of our use is on varying slopes along a creek and hill, this is the tool's greatest asset aside from reliability. This may be of less importance if used solely for hedges or flat level ground all the time, but we wouldn't know since that does not apply to us.The tool needs to be presented to the brush in just the right way to avoid it being a frustrating struggle. When the approach is good, it scythes through with minimal effort. It's satisfying when an easy body twist results in swathes of brush and grass shearing down in curtains. It took some learning and muscle memory training to get to that point, however. The capacity of the trimmer with the 131 Kombi head has been sufficient for almost anything that fits in the teeth. Notable exceptions are saplings and bamboo at that barely fit in the shred zone but are too tough to cut. These get a chainsaw. What we dislike about this attachment. There is one significant weakness to the Adjustable Hedge Trimmer in our experience. The angle adjusting mechanism is a spring loaded pin that engages one of several detents in the blade head. This is a great idea, but either the spring (at least on our unit) is too weak, or the detents are too shallow, or both. While fast and easy to use, it is disappointing that the blade pops out of its angle detent and changes to another during average use. This is not with prying or pushing, just regular use.We will be experimenting with ways to fix this problem - maybe drill the detents deeper if it doesn't seem to weaken the part or find some way to increase spring tension. We don't want to resort to clamping the pin mechanism as that would encumber rapid angle adjustment.Overall, we very much appreciate the Adjustable Hedge Trimmer Kombi attachment. It goes and goes, chopping almost everything that fits in its teeth. It is our most used attachment. It almost deserves five stars, but the noted weakness does affect us every time we use it. We may be able to solve the problem ourselves, but a star is removed because we shouldn't need to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality product that performs well Very well made and matched nicely with the Kombi power head. The adjustability is the real seller here. Provides great range to perform trimming tasks that would be very difficult with a straight trimmer. So far, cuts everything very cleanly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight and flexible Used this type for years before I retired. With the adjustable cutters I can trim even the tallest of my shrubs, top them off, with many shrubs on my property its very light and well balance in weight you can handle them for hours.
