Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cuts A Clean Edge Needing a lawn edger, I consulted my Stihl salesman who originally sold me my KM55R powerhead and trimmer over 20 years ago. He recommended the straight shaft and confirmed my powerhead had enough power. It works well and cuts a nice edge. Cons are that it is short and bit pricey. Big plus is easily changing accessories while only having one powerhead saving money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my manicured edges! I have the previous generation FCS-KM with the white deflector and I use it with a KM130. I have no complaints. The edger easily cuts through and makes a beautiful crisp edge. If its way overgrown like my neighbor, it'll take a while to cut through. I previously owned a Ryobi and then Craftsman kombi system, and there is no comparison to the made in USA Stihl quality. I'm sold on it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped working after 10 minutes of very easy edging. The edger stopped spinning after 10 mins of very easy home edging. My Ryobi has worked for years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! With my km 130 this attachment is a must have. If you lock in the unit at the normal speed and run into a tough patch add additional power by squeezing the trigger and it'll power right through it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Frosting on the cake I have read some reviews that this tool does not work but I can tell you that here in NC it has really set my clients yards apart from the rest. Initially I only used it with the KM 56 on my yard and it worked great. However I started to noticed that a lot of landscapers were not doing edging so I decided to use it on my clients yards and got a KM 90 and boy was there a difference. It made a great seam but there is a technique to it. Don't bother doing it if the ground is wet. And just advance forward a foot or so and pull it back to kick out the dirt and continue on. Then once you are done, take your blower and blow out the seam. The first time is usually the roughest part but the next time will be easy as long as you blow out the seam. Also be sure to stock up on blades as they will cut down rather quickly depending on how often you use it. I hope this helps.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too weak to effectively edge. I like the product bet the edger is too weak to edge with, especially if it is the first edge of the season. This is not the product if your sidewalks were never edged before. I was assured by the dealer that this had plenty of power to edge my sidewalk for the first time and I struggled, couldn't complete the work and was totally disappointed. For sidewalks that have been previously edged several times this product will work.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good - not Great I own multiple Stihl products as well as the Kombi system. I agree with others, though I have the 'pro' power unit (KM-110) - this edger struggles w/ clean edges. I also thought I had a broken shaft - only to discover after taking the unit apart the shaft somehow was disconnected from the driver near the blade. Strange.I also have the adjustable hedge trimmer and the cultivator attachments and have had no issues w/ the shaft.
