Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Item I got one of these about 3 years ago. I didn’t use it much at first, so I didn’t really think much of it. The past 2 summers I have been using it extensively to rework gardens that were mostly clay. I also added paver sidewalk system and had some very hard ground to remove. This thing works great, if you tackle hard ground a day or so after some moderate showers. It does pull quite hard, and will jump if you hit 3” or larger rocks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ate through roots less than one inch I used my new cultivator attachment for the first time to help break up some earth to grade it for a level parking spot for a travel trailer. The area was overgrown with trees and I was worried that the roots in the soil were going to cause mischief. The cultivator cut through the smaller roots like butter. I did have to stop a couple of times and unwind the roots from the blades, but it worked pretty well. It wasn't able to chew up the roots 1 inch or bigger, but it sure did help find those roots. I had to get the good, old, trusty ax out for those. All in all, the cultivator worked like a charm and saves us a bunch of time with the project.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Off day at the factory. I had read previous reviews of these running backwards. I figured that was something that was probably fixed when I bought mine but my dealer did mention to me how to fix the issue should mine run backwards. This leads me to believe it is a widespread issue. It disappoints me the dealer knew about the issues but didn’t check the one I purchased that was in stock. When I went to use my unit for the first time it kicked back and hit me where no man wants to be hit dropping me to the ground. After gaining my composure I flipped the whole unit over and ran it upside down to see how well of a job it did. If u are not working soil that has already been ripped up by something else this unit does not do much. I hope it comes in useful later in the year for the price I paid for it but for now it looks like I will be renting a real cultivator to make the first cut in the fresh soil.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Bought this product about a month ago and when I first got it, it had been turned around(going in reverse). I fixed that quickly. It does a great job where the soil has already been tilled and does a decent job of hard dirt. This product will be prefect for keeping weeds out of the garden.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK product When I first got this tiller it ran backward! Almost ran over my toes. I took it back with the intention of returning it and was told it's a simple process to fix. It runs good now and does an OK job in our hard compact Va clay.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice unit for sprucing up the garden etc I picked up the mini cultivator last year when I purchased my km110r but never got around to using it until this year. Its a bit on the heavy side but IMO this helps to make the cultivator more stable when using it. I am disabled so I can use all the help I can get when it comes to doing these sorts of things and the cultivator fits the bill perfectly. In fact I was surprised how well it works. Just don't expect this tool to work magic on hard packed ground.I have a decent size garden and keeping up with the weeds between rows can be a pretty major chore. Not anymore. An hour of use and the garden is back to looking great and the weeds are handled without spraying. The Only warning I would give with the unit is to pay attention to which way the tines spin on initial use. They should spin forward. On mine, whoever had assembled the unit had oriented the gearbox in reverse and the tines spun backwards. This could be potentially dangerous and also is very hard to control safely. Thankfully it is a simple process to loosen up the two screws and flip it over to orient correctly. The only concern I have on this unit is the lack of lubrication on the gearbox and how this will affect longevity of the worm gear. I have no reason to believe that it will be a problem but it seems there should be some kind of maintenance procedure for any tool such as this using a gear box. I found no maintenance instructions in the manual for this purpose. The easily removable tines are great for when you get into something that wraps up around the shaft also. Overall, I think it's a well thought out tool and hope to get many years of use out of it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wear steel toed boots I bought this to till a couple of garden areas at the house and wish I had just spent the money for a real tiller. It is a chore to get it to dig into Carolina clay and if you do not pay attention, it will pull out and drive towards your toes real quick. I have learned how to shuffle backwards faster than the cultivator can go. Maybe if I weighed more it would be better, but as a 140lbs, 5'-4" male, I do not recommend it. I love my adjustable scythe and pole saw attachments.
