    Excellent!
It is a bit expensive compared to the other mowers but I believe it is proportionate to the added value. It is well made. I am not experiencing any issues with it. Simple operation and start. To mow my front and back yard, it needs an extra charge. However, I recommend getting the AL500 battery charger and AP 180 battery. The speed of charging at 30 minutes makes it worth the extra. If I ever want to upgrade to another AP180 battery, then I could run the mower as long as I want to by just ... read more switching and charging the battery while using the other one. I get about 30 minutes runtime per a battery charge.

    Great Cordless Lawn Mower
Great cordless mower that cuts through tall grasses as easily as short grass. Used for cutting grass under trees and along fence lines where the riding mower is unable to reach. With over 30 trees and over 600 feet of fence line, just a single charge of an AP180 battery does it all.

Works as I had hoped--a great product for me
After my gas powered honda died after 22 years I almost bought another, but did not want to deal with gasoline or oil since I was already using battery operated blower and trimmer. I am very pleased with this mower--very simple, but well made and lightweight. Battery (160) will allow me to mow all 3000 square feet of grass on one charge sometimes, but sometimes not (depending on how wet and tall the grass is, and if I am mulching). Usually I don't push it, and just mow the front and back on ... read more different days, since they grow at different rates. I bought the mulching kit, which really cuts the grass into fine pieces, but you do need to slow down if the grass is thick or heavy or you will not get a good even cut.

    Even Better Than Expected!
Best thing about this mower is it cuts beautifully. We have a good size yard so a bad cut shows big time. Battery lasted long but I don't remember how long, just kept going on & on. I'm tickled.

Plenty of power and run time
Last week I finally purchased the 510 after years of being dissatisfied with any battery-powered mower offering. Stihl has excellent engineering and this mower has a great balance between power and run time. I also purchased the 90R trimmer which uses the same battery. My lawn is only 2,500 sq ft but I can easily trim and mow the entire lawn and the battery (AP300) is still half full. Maybe if I let the grass grow too long it will take more battery life but this is superb. No more cords to ... read more wrestle with or gasoline cans to take care of. I'm thrilled.

    Excellent Mower
After selling my gas mower in the fall, and researching cordless mowers all winter, I finally narrowed my decision down to two options - The Stihl RMA-510 vs a unit sold at big box stores. The Stihl mower is brand new for this year, and had next to no reviews available, so I knew I was taking a chance; the other mower has been around a long time and has plenty of positive feedback. The main deciding factor came down to two things: 1 - The Stihl brand and associated quality with that brand, and 2 ... read more - Parts and service availability of Stihl products. Unpacking the mower was a breeze - fold up the handles and it is good to go. Nothing to it. After fully charging the battery I decided to do a test run on my 3000 square foot yard (it is spring here, and the grass has not yet started growing, so I dropped the deck to the lowest height and sheared off the old growth). I was pleasantly surprised with the power this mower was packing. ECO mode worked as described, but I preferred turning it off and letting it run at full power. Bagging seems to be very good with good suction. I did notice some clippings blowing through between the bag and rear flap. I will keep an eye on this once I am cutting growing grass it I suspect it will not be an issue. Battery life seems to be at least as good as advertised. After about 3000 square feet, I had over 50% charge remaining on my AP 300 pack, so that was a pleasant surprise. I am also guessing that I made the mower work a little harder than it will under normal conditions, so that is promising.
