    My best Money Maker
If I need to make some quick Money I drive down the road looking for the biggest mess of bushes or low branched trees or volunteer trees on fence lines. I pull this out got to there door and strike a deal. I can make $150 in an hour just cutting their mess. Takes no time at all. Cuts through Parasitic Vines on trees that grow all over them in as fast as you can brandish this unit. trims and cuts Crape myrtles New growths Fast and to the ground. I even misuse this and cut through ground brush and ... read more Mondo Grass/ Monky Grass and do clear cutting. It has even gone through copper Sprinkler lines so be careful there. Cuts through larger branches in the way to if held on them for a few seconds. Had some 18 foot monster hedges and this went through them in record time. 4 hours before with other trimmers 30 minutes with this. I love knocking Down Over Grown Rose Bushes with it. Cut them up then slice and dice them into small pieces to shove into a bag. I am a handy man and I put this tool to its MAXX Abilities at multiple sites a week. Its NEVER leaving my tool truck. I can make my Rent in a week using this. Just a wagon This tool and a box of trash bags and a rake. Can make $900 a week walking down the street.

You get what you pay for!!
I used these for the first time on a large property that was extremely overgrown. Trimmed up touchy boxwoods cleanly. Cut right through large woody branches on burning bushes with ease, grasses, evergreens, everything. It ran much, much longer on a single tank of fuel than the 46 I've used professionally the last 6 years. I love this unit and can't wait to use it again.

    professional hedge trimmers
Amazing product moved up from the hs 45 the hs 82t has more power no vibration and the exhaust is channeled to the front of the trimmer away from the operator. Rotating rear handle is great for long hedges. Overall the best trimmer on the market today well thought out features perfect for the professional.

Should have bought this years ago
I love this trimmer. I haven't had this more than two days, so my dependability rating is purely a guess, based on my other, older Stihl equipment (FS 85 trimmer and 036 Pro chainsaw). I don't make money at this job, but I do have to cut about 200' total of hedges with parts over 6’ tall, twice a week in the springtime, then tapering to every 2 weeks as the summer heat picks up and the growth slows. After 18 years learning the Zen of keeping these straight and sharp, I'll call myself an ... read more expert. I bought this HS 82 T to supplement my FS 85 which has an adjustable angle trimmer on the end of a 5’ rod. That FS 85 has been great for the last 15 years, but I've grown tired of swinging the relatively short trimmer on the end of the long and heavy stick. I would've tried the 40" 87 T if it came in double-sided, but my hedge type only does well when I swing the cut in both directions to keep the branches only pointing outward not vertical, and I didn't want to walk twice up and down their lengths. This also looked better than the 87 T to flip upside down and use above my head. For my job, this trimmer is fantastic. It has a lightweight aluminum stiffener along the length of the bar that's not too tall to get in the way. Mine didn't come with the nifty semi-circle protector at the tip as in the picture, but my FS 85 didn't have one either, and I haven't had a problem from the occasional ding onto the sidewalk. The exhaust being ported toward away from me and toward the cutter is more than welcome. It’s a much quieter running machine than the FS85, with none of its “ding ding ding” of the centrifugal clutch. The weight on this felt much lighter than the similar trimmer from another brand that I tried. They’re nearly the same dry weight on paper, but for me it's not about total weight, it's about the balance. I need to swing the trimmer a zillion times, and for that this trimmer is a dream, beating the other hands down. One thing that surprised me is that I also really like the rotating trigger handle. At first I thought it too gimmicky, but it really is easier to use the trimmer when the handle is oriented right. I especially like putting it sideways, then the trimmer feels more like it’s in chainsaw mode. Very comfy. I hope I don’t wear out the mechanism, as the plastic-on-plastic swivel handle is the one thing I’m a little worried about for long-term durability. The vibration isolation works very well. I didn’t come in after work with my fingers still vibrating from gripping the trimmer for hours, as always happens with using my FS 85. I’d even tried special gloves to reduce the nerve damage, but their thick foam made the work harder. With the HS 82 I got no such problem, and was only wearing regular leather work gloves. With the weighted fuel filter, the trimmer works great in any orientation -- sideways, pointed up or down, and upside down while over my head. I had no fuel feed problems, and speaking of fuel, it seems to be fairly fuel efficient too, which is nice. In summary, the specs of this trimmer met the specs for my task, and the rest of the features have made me very happy to use this fantastic tool.

    Great Tool!
I was going to purchase the "K" version, but I'm glad I didn't. I had a huge shrub job that I could not access with a ladder and this was the answer. I love the 13 positions that this machine offers.

All the features needed to trim a variety of hedges
Works very well but the longer shaft makes it a little top heavy. If you have a lot to trim then periodic rest periods are advised. Otherwise, can not be a better trimmer on the market. The adjustable blade makes work easy.

    Great machine
I had a load of huge bushes that were taking over my side walk. I dreaded using my old electric clipper. It aways took so long and trimmer wouldn't cut the thick branches. I decided on the HS56c-e with the recommendation from the dealer. I could have bought the home owner model for a lot less. I'm glad I spent the extra money for the HSC-E. This machine cut the bushes with ease and no bogging down. I was amazed how quick I was able trim all my bushes. I am very satisfied. Spend the extra mony. ... read more You won't be disappointed. Great machine.

    Top-notch hedge trimmer
Best Hedge trimmer on the market, I've used other brands in the past but none compare to the Stihl HS 56 C-E. Easy to start, powerful motor and the cutting edge breezes through my Laurel hedges - I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a top-notch versatile hedge trimmer!!!

    Excellent
The property I work on has close to 1500 lineal feet of box woods. They always need to be trimmed up before parties and such. These trimmers are light, powerful, and have no vibration. Swivel handle is a big plus for doing the sides. I can actually run these all day without feeling tired at the end of the day.

    OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE!
I now own 2 of these units. They are exceptionally efficient, easy to use and comfortable to operate. I own many stihl products, and this is yet another amazing versatile tool. Starts easily and has an insane amount of power, cuts overgrown hedges easily and leaves a nice clean cut every time. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS!

    This thing is an animal!
I have a small farm that I like to keep in good shape. There's allot of bushes and hedge that I need to keep cut back so I can run my tractor and bush hog close to the bigger timber. I bought the HS 86R this spring and used it this weekend. It is a brute. No complaints what so ever. It will cut everything you want it to. Very well balanced between the right and left hands. Great power. Well worth the money. Get fuel economy also. It ran most of the day on one tank of gas. Highly recommended.

    Excellent
I have this for heavy duty hedge trimming. The hedges are salt seeder trees cut down and trimmed as hedges. No other trimmer that I have tried can handle the job. Current trimmer is 8 years old and works thru the AZ summers of 120 deg plus. Love it.

    Trail Maintenance
We use our trimmer to cut brush in the Capitol Forest in Washington. Our trimmer is surprisingly fuel efficient and capable of cutting medium to high brush. We opted for the 24" bar so more people could handle the trimmer.
