    Stihl products are top notch
Stihl makes high quality tools period. I have split wood for years and every year I replace my splitting axe because all of these Home Depot tools are no good. Finally I learned my lesson and bought a higher end axe and I don't think I'll have to replace it for many years. Great quality, good steel, built like a tank. To answer the question about using the axe for pounding wedges, any time you use something to strike steel that's just as hard as what you are using there will be problems Never ... read more use your expensive tools like this axe to hit steel, regardless of what stihl says. The handle will loosen no matter what. Buy cheap sledge hammers to pound wedges.

    The Envy of the Campground
I am a volunteer host at a State Park in Vermont. As such I cannot use my chainsaws, or my 4 wheeler. I came upon a fairly good sized pile of bucked logs, and not being able to use my spliter either had a challenge on my hands. The challenge was offically eliminated last night when I took the first swing with this axe. It is by far the best axe that this former Boy Scout has ever swung. Maybe I won't miss my chainsaws all that much afterall.

    PP 70
This hand pruner is the best I have ever used, let alone held! The locking feature is easy to unlock but is very secure when not in use. The price may scare some homeowners/landscapers away, but the quality of the blades are amazing and can be removed to be sharpened, unlike many professional hand pruners out there. Amazing hand pruner for all jobs, from cutting flowers to trimming small branches! I do recommend the hand pruner leather sheath for easy transport!

    Very nice.
Great leverage and action. Light and strong. We have had 3 pairs. Sort of difficult to buy as local dealers don't all carry the hand tools.

    Nice Pocket Saw
This is nice saw to have for those little prunning duties I have where bringing out a chain saw is not needed. Had it for awhile and still sharp and works great.

    great survival tool
Ive had mine for 4 years now. I used it all the time doing tree work, and now keep it in my truck for use on limbs keeping salvage at bay. I did break the tip off of it. I'm sure that I over worked it. I've used it on tree limbs, pvc pipes, tires, the list goes on. Love it!

    Nice little hand saw
This is perfect to have around for those little jobs around the property when you don't want to fuss with power tools to get things done. Also this is great to have while camping when you're preparing your camp site. When the chainsaw is overkill, and the looper just doesn't have what it takes, then get this guy out and go to work.

    Very Sharp Hand saw.
I use this to limb live oaks within reach in my yard. It works very well. I have cut branches up to 4 inchs and it worked flawlessly. It is light weight and extremely sharp. Mine states that it was made in Japan and the quality shows it. The blade has not bent even when a limb’s weight pinches it. The blade’s angle allows for powerful cutting stroke without putting your weight down. This allows the blade to do the work and reduces the chance of a pinch or bend. Since I am cutting wet wood ... read more I will tell you that you need to clean the blade before storage to avoid rust and gum-ups that will cause it to pinch.

    Cuts with ease
I just bought this saw and have been used it all day. Cuts very well with great ease. Unlike other cheaper saws that I have, this one doesn't bind. I recommend the leather sheath. The teeth are very sharp. I also like the saw for its fine cut. I will be going back to the supplier to get an additional PS 70.

    GREAT Handsaw for low branches!
I purchased the PS 70 saw to trim dead branches on my many Colorado Blue Spruce trees. I also purchased the leather carrier with it to attach to my belt. The saw has served me well for the last five years and still is very sharp! Very good saw for the price.

    I'm a gardener
This is a awesome saw. I where it on my belt everyday. Looks highly professional. Mine is 3 years old. Cuts so perfect and clean. I have another one on my kubota rtv for clearing trails. It's also perfect for backpacking. You will be more than pleased.

    great saw!!!!!
I am very impressed with the smooth cut and ease of stroke with this blade. The saw and sheath are so convenient, light wieght, and tough. I was disappointed with one major downfall, the leg strap is SOLD SEPERATELY!!! This makes no sense, when purchasing the blade, you would figure its a component of the sheath. Haven't found a single dealer that sells the leg strap. All in all the best pruning saw I have used, regardless of size. Easily manuvuered and cuts like its got a chain and motor.

    Great hand saw
There are days when I would rather hear the birds and the water rather than a chainsaw motor. On those days this saw is absolutely amazing to have. The blade on the saw is replaceable and the handle and sheath are well constructed. Overalll it is a great item.

    best hand-held pruner available anywhere
I can't praise Stihl's hand-held pruner enough. It's design is simple, extremely workable, light, and efficient. I LOVE using my Stihl pruner. I've used other pruners in the distant past but Stihl's pruner is the best by far. It is so good it really has no competitors. The same goes for their chainsaws. Outstanding quality.

    Excellent for all size hands
I purchased these shears about two years ago and have used them on a regular basis. I am 6'2" with size XXL hands, and these fit me just as well as my wife, they are compact and feel like they are perfect for any size hands. I got the smaller size to be easier to maneuver around plants from top to bottom. These feel like they slice right through stems with ease, and I have yet to sharpen them. After each use, I wash them off with soap and water to avoid plant disease problems, leave them open to ... read more dry and oil them only once every couple of uses... very low maintenance and shows no wear after years of uses. I have yet to sharpen them. These are the last pair of shears I will ever buy, and recommend them to anyone. Very, very high quality, only gripe from anyone would be the price.... but you get what you pay for..... buy it once and never buy another pair. I will be sending a pair to a relative as a gift.

Lasts longer on the job than the day is long...quality plus
Best hand shears I have found. I purchased one of each size more for the job I am doing and not for my hand size. One piece of advice, purchase the black handle models. My opinion is that the orange handle models available at some Stihl outlets do not feel as well made. I hope they do not discontinue the former.
