Twisted Splitting Wedge

Twisted Splitting Wedge
Twisted Splitting Wedge is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from needs inprovment the wedge on paper works great but in use it has its draw backs. the wedge dose not stand up to repeated use. after about 8 hrs of use the wedge had deformed heavily. so i took it back to the dealer they warranted and gave me a norther one not even kidding 12 hits with a 8 pound maul and the point of the wedge had bent 90 degrees in the other direction making a vary expensive paper weight. for a wedge of this coast and descried as a rugged it should be able to go thru small tree knots. . its is a good idea on paper but it needs to be made out of a stronger metal. i love stihl saws and own 3 and was disappointed in the poor quality of this wedge

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have for splitting hardwood Better than other wedges, does not bounce out, and splits wood with ease. 2in to 3in or less makes a wide gap in the wood.Needs demonstration models at dealerships and very hard to find in south central PA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Had to have this unique style splitting wedge! I stopped by my STIHL dealer last week and saw this wedge on the shelf. Me being the type of person to purchase most anything STIHL, I brought it home and tried it on a few logs to split. The twisted wedge made splitting almost as easy as a hot knife through butter! It's lightweight and starts into the block of wood easily, almost like pounding a large screw into wood! Reasonable price for something this easy to use.
