from file gauge The top plate angle and drag depth are pretty self explanatory. The side plate angle is what has me puzzled. I have sighted this with a brand new chain according to the chain spec and still don't really understand how to read the angle on the saw. I am guessing that four out of five ain't bad.1. top plate angle (check#2. drag depth #check#3. bar groove depth #check#4. bar groove cleaner #check#5. side plate angle reading # x )

from Needs instructions I got this tool as part of a Stihl sharpening kit. The problem is that are no instructions for how to use it. In particular, I'd like to know how raker depth gauge is supposed to be used.
