Dakota Rains

Dakota Rains is a STIHL Field Applications Specialist with Blue Mountain Equipment, headquartered in McKinney, Texas. His focus is over the Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Oklahoma, area, where he assists end-users (landscapers, municipalities, etc.) by demonstrating new products and being a liaison to STIHL dealers and Territory Managers.

As an Applications Specialist, Dakota conducts STIHL equipment demonstrations and STIHL maintenance and operation training for cities, counties, and state employees, school districts, universities, and parks and recreational facilities. In this role, he promotes the proper and safe use of power tools, as well as provides technical expertise and training for arborists, landscapers, and loggers.

Dakota Rains began his STIHL journey after spending a combined decade operating his own professional landscaping crew while running STIHL equipment and also serving as the City of Shawnee Parks Supervisor, where they also trusted the STIHL brand to maintain their parks. After gaining extensive experience helping his community and discovering his true passion for STIHL, Dakota expanded his role and now supports end-users throughout the Oklahoma City and Tulsa areas as part of the Field Applications team.
