This blower is easy to start and has plenty of air power.
I previously had a blower of another make that I've run for more than 30 years. It finally succumbed to bad gas syndrome and I was tired of having to fight to get it started. This new Stihl is a breeze to start and, once it warms up, is smooth running and powerful. I also like the lower sound level compared to my old blower (of course I still wear ear protection). If this blower is as reliable as my old one, one of my son's will be inheriting it (I hope in 30 more years!)

    great blower
whoever says this blower isn't powerful must be trying to blow down the tree before the leafs fall!!!!!!! makes quick work of any task. starts very easy and is quieter than most other products. I also like that the intake is on the outside when operating right handed, your loose jacket doesn't get sucked in. I own other STIHL products and I'm more than happy with this one too!!!!

Works as Expected, Stihl is my go to brand
Uses same Stihl fuel mix as weed wacker and chain saw. Easy start, prime, pull starts up first time, everytime. This has plenty of power to blow huge piles of wet leaves, small sticks. My buddy has had a similar Stihl blower for 10 years and it's still running strong so I know it has good "genes". I also got the gutter attachment kit. Awesome buy. Neighbors all asked to borrow it to clean their gutters!

    Great little backpack blower
My wife purchased this little blower for me as a birthday/Father’s Day gift. I have had my eye on it for some time now at my local Stihl dealer. I love the fact that I have a great backpack blower now instead of a handheld blower. It’s so lightweight and it cranks on the first or second pull every time so far. I know that Stihl has a reputation for being quality equipment and it’s awesome that a homeowner can get that quality without having to sell off body parts to be able to afford it.

    Great home owner blower
Is it a professional blower? No. Is it good for what it was designed for? Yes. It is light and efficient for home lawn maintenance. It is easy to move in and around bushes and trees. Much better than a hand held blower. Run time is 2 hours or more on one tank of gas, It moved a substantial amount of leafs with no back strain vibration numbness. Starts easily and never stalled. If you want a light easy to use back pack blower buy quality. Buy Stihl.

    Very Pleased
Starts easy, runs well, uses very little gas, Does the job as desired, I have a full acre of land, lots of Fir trees and broad leaf trees, maple, walnut, cherry. The Broad leafs blow very easily, the fir needles are a lot tougher. I should have purchase a bigger blower because of the fir needles. This one works but more air power in my case would work better. All in all very pleased !!

    Reliable leaf blower.
I live in Minnesota so my blower sees a variety of weather conditions. From 80 above zero to 30 below this blower starts within the 3rd pull almost every time. My BG 50 has been so reliable I still have mine from 10+ years ago and have bought 2 more to give as presents for housewarming gifts. All perform flawlessly. My one piece of advice is to use ONLY non-oxygenated gasoline (if it is available).

    Handy and easy to use
I use backpack Stihl model at forestry/campground of Department of Natural Resources job for large areas. I purchased this unit for 1 acre hobby farm lawn cleanup after experience at work. Unit works well, moving heavy, deep, and wet leaves without fatigue due to lightness of unit. Sometimes work lasting 3 to 4 hours without a problem. This is Stihl's lowest price blower and everything you could ask for, get Stihl and don't go for the cheaper brands, the only thing they are good for is dumpster ... read more filling after a couple of years of marginal service. I learned this the hard way.

Hard to start and get warmed up
I’ve had this for one year today. I don’t use it on a daily basis but probably on average once a week maybe two. When it’s cold the starting and warm up is very difficult. There is a very strict protocol you need to follow to get it going. Once it’s been running for a while it’s easier but still the blower will not stay started if you pull the gas to quickly.
