What are your plans after graduation?
Currently not sure. Possibly work towards a Ph.D.

How will you prepare/train for the Collegiate Championship in June? Who will you train with?
I'll continue training with my collegiate coaches; doing event training 3-5 times a week with some strength and weight training mixed in. I plan on attending a few contests between now and then to keep myself racing sharp with a trip to Webster Springs already planned.

When did you first start participating in lumberjack sports? How did you get involved in lumberjack sports?
I started participating in lumberjack sports as a sophomore at the University of New Hampshire during my undergraduate studies. I remember watching contests at local fairs when I was younger and joined in the fall, when I realized we had a team.

Are you related to any current or former STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Series competitors?
Nope.

Do you have any advice for other collegiate competitors?
Take any and all advice you can get and watch a lot of videos both of yourself and others (especially pros). Just remember not everything works for everyone. I really like watching the videos from the 90's that you can find on YouTube.

Which STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS®  Series pro would you most like to train with?
I think it would have been amazing to have the opportunity to train with the late David Bolstad; highlights of him cutting the standing block are some of my favorites. With that said, I would be grateful to train with any pro, as I think all of them possess knowledge that would be beneficial to a young competitor.

Best/strongest STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Series discipline:
I'd have to say the standing block chop. My underhand chop may be more polished and complete, but I really enjoy cutting the standing block. Realistically, the goal is to be strong in all the events.

Hobbies:
Soccer, Nordic skiing and Boston Bruins hockey

Proudest moment in your life so far:
My standing block chop from the Northeast Collegiate Qualifier. I finally proved to myself I can get out of second gear in the event.
