Rated 5 out of 5 by Quiet Works very well, quiet and effective . Battery and charger cost $$ but still worth it. August 25, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Loving it! I have only used this trimmer 3 times but so far so good. I was tired of dealing with gas and oil and decided to try this option. I've been using it for an hour with the 180 battery before it needs to recharge. I'm not overly fond of the line head that you tap to advance line. It doesn't work so well for me. I just loosen the cap and advance it manually. August 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works great for my Dad We purchased this trimmer for my 67 y/o father who has several acres to mow and trim. He loves it! It has lots of power, works for about 45 minutes on a single charge, and no issues. He brags to the Stihl dealer where he gets his chain saw supplies how much he loves it. Great for his hearing, too! Yes, it is expensive, but glad to have the ease of use and reduced noise for my father, and he loves it. June 16, 2016

Rated 1 out of 5 by cordless trimmer is worthless This electric powered string trimmer is a wonderful tool except it doesn't work. The line does not advance well -- sometimes not at all. When it does advance it is very long and strong, takes an expert to cut or edge evenly with it. It is certainly not for anyone with weak arms or a short temper. I have spent as much time reloading the string as I have spent actually trimming.I would not recommend this product -- it is an overpriced pain in the grass.Tom Tock, Dwight, Illinois July 21, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by The lithium battery works great; but winding the line onto the spool inside the mowing head is VERY difficult. Loved the reliability of the lithium battery, but winding the line onto the spool inside the mowing head is VERY difficult. July 1, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Bad line head I used it for a few minutes. The line got shorter & shorter & was too short to use anymore. It didn't advance itself. I wasn't sent home w/ a manual. I watched the Stihl videos and read the PDF manual -- didn't see anything addressing this. So I started turning the mechanism back & forth, and then the little bit of line that was still sticking out was retracted back inside, and I can't get it to come out. Annoyed. Going back to dealer today, will update this then. Wish the thing came with a manual, but still, strange the manual doesn't cover this scenario, and google searching doesn't come up w/anything about the line not advancing. Maybe a fluke. May 29, 2015
