Rated 5 out of 5 by from good pole pruner what I see in reviews loggers need to be able to place metal cover rather than plastic. was farmers son cut lots of woods for more field space crops. was a professional firefighter for 36 yrs, loggers & firefighters are hard on the equipment we don't have time be easy going. loggers time is money (and lives)-firefighters time saves lives.Stihl needs really look at what professional can change make the job better give use tool to do so. you make the BEST of all equipment keep it going.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great power We recently picked up an HT 250 as a replacement for an aging HT 75. Let me tell you, the difference is night and day. The 250 has more than enough power for any job. I'm a firm believer that many pole saws are underpowered, but this one is not. We have used it extensively pruning many acres of orchard trees and it has not let us down once. Some people complain about the new cutting head having plastic components, but I have not found this to be an issue at all. Unless you are purposefully abusing it there shouldn't be any problems - and the weigh savings are very noticeable when you are operating the saw all day. Highly recommend it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good saw but cutting head is junk I've logged for over 20 years and never used anything but still products I bought at least 20 pole saws over that time and never had any problems but the last 250 I bought had a new style cutting head on it with plastic parts this is junk if you've got a good product why change it the bar and chain are on the opposite side like it's made for a left-handed operator this head might be fine for a homeowner who uses his Saw 2 to 3 hours a year but I use mine 3 hours a day you make a quality product but it has one flaw please fix it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from plenty of power and sturdy Always ready to go when I need it, and that's not very often. Keeping the Stihl synthetic mix in it all the time seems to be the ticket for extending the life of the fuel system by avoiding ethanol, and it cranks almost immediately after having sat for months at a time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Your new version of the 250 is terrible! Can’t hold up in the logging woods! Why do y’all want to change from the old head to this new plastic one? Loggers need heavy duty stuff and this new version of the 250 sucks! We have always used stilh pole saws but we will be looking into other brands for durability! My new saw leaks bar oil and uses saw gas like a v8 in mountain terrain! I would hope for the loggers sake y’all would go back to the old version of the 250!
