My Pro Mark chaps have held up fine. They use to sell them in camo, which I have, and no problems wearing or using this product. I have been fortunate as I have one cut in each leg of my chaps from my 009. Both times I would have needed a visit to an emergency room and stitches had I not been wearing them. Both times I was cutting in a heaped brush pile with mesquite mixed in with the oak and the thorns distracted me enough when one would poke thru the chaps. Most thorns did not poke thru but I ... read more learned my lesson. I use my FS85 with the HT pole pruner to cut in brush piles now. I do wear them every time I cut since I bought them, a great investment I think.

The product you hope you don't ever use.
I bought these when I upgraded to a 461...ive ran saws since I was 11 years old and never thought I needed them till I saw a very serious chainsaw accident in person. Now I don't cut unless I got them on. They are fairly comfortable and add a level of mental security. Quality seams good stitching is done well. Price is high but you get what you pay for.

This product saved a trip to the Emergency Room!
Bought a pair of the Pro Mark Apron Chaps the morning of November 25. That afternoon my son, wearing these new chaps, was limbing a tree when the saw kicked back. The running chain made contact just below his right knee and the Pro Mark Apron Chaps immediately stopped the chain. Thank's to the group at Stihl that designed and manufactured this outstanding safety gear. You save my son from a suffering a severe injury!

    This product is great
I've has my Stihl hearing protector headset for 35 years and use it at least every other week to mow my lawn with my tractor as well as with other power tools.. I've never had problems with the fit. It is comfortable and works wonderfully well for me. I'll often put my ipod buds in my ear and listen to music as I work (with the sound much lower than I'd need otherwise).

The best ear protection for gas powered products
Whether cutting wood, trimming grass, blowing leaves, hedge clipping, or any related gas powered work, the orange Stihl head protectors are mandatory. With only one set of God-given ears, these headsets will enable you to save them. I've had the same headsets for 27 years!

    Adjustment problem
Not enough directions provided on how to adjust the size of the hearing protectors. The muffs did not pull down so I removed the two plastic tabs. The muffs then easily adjusted but the metal wires popped out from the plastic casing. I replaced the plastic tabs and got one wire back in but the other wire remains partially out. The noise reduction is good. They are comfortable but a couple sentences regarding the best method to adjust the size would have been very helpful.

These glasses are very comfortable and stylish as well!
These glasses are very functional and stylish as well. I purchased them at a farm equipment store when I was traveling for work. I wish I knew of a local retail store that carries them so I can purchase another pair. I was recently using a 4" grinder at work and thank goodness I was wearing my Stihl safety glasses...they got scratched, yet, it is better them than my eyes! These glasses provided comfort, style, and function for a reasonable price. Thank you Stihl

Very light weight, nice fit even for my 11 year old amazing repair man! He likes the fact that they look more like sun glasses than safety glasses!

    Best Stihl Glasses!!
I ordered these 2 weeks ago through my local dealer and finally received them today. Let's say they were while worth the wait. Has nice big lenses to help cover my eyes when trimming & etc, love the orange/white color scheme and has adjustable nose piece (big plus IMO). Highly recommend these and I will be purchasing extras as well.

    Best pair of sun glasses
I was recently at the local Stihl dealer and found the rack of Stihl sun and safety glasses. I decided to try a pair out and I picked these two tone glasses as they were the most visually appealing to me. I have used these glasses outside in the heat and dust and they have held up and actually stayed pretty clean so far. If they do happen to get dirty they are very easy to wipe off. These glasses save my eyes from all the items that get thrown by my string trimmer a's well as keep the sun out of ... read more my eyes. Overall I highly recommend these glasses.

    Excellent Fit
I've been looking for a place to review these gloves (they aren't listed on Amazon). I bought them at a hardware store here in Illinois, and they are fantastic! You really should try any sort of clothes on in person before ordering online to be sure they fit you, and with any mass-produced clothes, try on several of the same product, because cuts are often off a bit, even if by 0.25mm, and one will fit ever so slightly better than another of the same make, model, and size. However, STIHL does a ... read more fantastic job at quality control from what I've observed, so if one pair fits you, the others are pretty likely to be just as good. Now, for some things that stand out about these excellent gloves: First and foremost, they fit near perfectly (my hands are large, with fingers longer than most gloves have). I was frustrated that most gloves labeled "Large" have stubby 2" fingers. These STIHL gloves are meant for a healthy, large, male hand like mine, NOT chubby hands with stub fingers. Secondly, for the level of protection these gloves provide, they amazingly retain near full dexterity! The only gloves I've used that are more dexterous are surgical gloves. The STIHL Outdoor PRO Gloves are nimble enough to pick up coins, tie shoelaces, handle tiny screws, and manipulate nearly all manner of small objects. This is a huge benefit when working in hazardous areas/terrain where it's ideal to keep your gloves on. Thirdly, though these gloves are a bit pricey compared to their lighter cousins, the impact plates (some kind of silicone or rubber) are placed in key spots where you really don't want stuff to hit your hand (like a 2x4 or scaffold rails). I do wish the padding was a bit more extensive, such as on the knuckles, thumb, and over the finger nails, but it's still very nice. Even the STIHL text on the top of the wrist has impact plates. The palm has excellent padding, thick enough to protect, but thin enough to remain dexterous. Final thoughts: The synthetic leather holds up very well, has decent grip, but isn't too grippy like some of those gecko-fingered gloves I've seen. The nylon fabric that holds the glove together is sturdy, flexible, breaths well, and does a great job at wicking sweat away. The gloves are warm enough to use in cool weather (around 35-40°F), but cool enough to use in warm weather (70-80°F). I like these gloves so much, I actually wear them everyday, even when out and about. They pass for excellent driving gloves, as well as hiking gloves. I'm not sure how they'd do for rock climbing, though, since I don't do that outdoor activity. The overall muted colors work well with many daily outfits, so these gloves I'd rate as excellent general purpose protective gloves. I will buy them again soon, just in case if they are discontinued by the time my current pair finally expires.

    Good gloves
I work for s tree service and wanted impact gloves. I ended up with a pair of thhese gloves. The fit was nice, they are light and protection was great. However the first job they tore. Not sure if it was a flaw or if they just aren't meant to be worked in this manner. I love the gloves but the quality was a bit low for the price.
