    Great Power and Versatility
My first Kombi head was Homeowner KM56R that I bought over 20 years ago with trimmer attachment. I've added other attachments but with the straight stick edger, I had to use finesse to keep rpms up. I recently purchased the KM 131 R (same Stihl professional) It runs the edger effortlessly and now I can add any attachments that need more power. I still use the KM 56 for string trimming. Good fresh ethonol free fuel or Motomix will assure trouble free service for years just like all my Stihl saws ... read more and other products.

    Highly reliable and versitile
I own both a KM 130 and a 90. We started out with the 90 when we only owned about 1/3 of an acre. Now we own 40 acres so we bought another KM and of course went with the big gun for this particular purchase. These things always start and run strong till their outta fuel. No issues no matter how you abuse them. The 130 does offer some extra power for the demands of the larger attachments or just cutting through heavy weeds/brush which we have plenty of. I do wish it had a little more though!

If you Buy.... Buy this one!
Even though this is listed as a "professional" level power unit, if you are going the Kombi route, get this power unit. I've used the others, and this one is really the only one that has the power to run anything other than a string trimmer attachment efficiently. Yes, it's pricey, but it's proven to be more dependable than the lesser power units, and has the power to run ANY of the Kombi attachments. Before buying, I tested all the available power units, and as I said, any of them will run a ... read more string trimmer, but this is the only available power unit that will run any attachment well.

Clears through chest high grass and weeds
This and the power pruner were the reason to by the kombi system. I am not disappointed. This easily cleared an acre of my property that I couldn't get to with my mower and was quickly growing out of co trol. The Power Scythe cut through the brush quickly and pretty easily. It is HEAVY and I wish it was a little longer as well expensive but it did the job.

I wish it was either longer or had an extension, better yet, a variety of different length extensions would be great.
We bought our Kombi system 5-6 years ago. The adjustable scythe was one of the first tools we bought. Back then we had a 1/4 acre lot but quite a bit to trim. When our neighbors got wind I ended up trimming throughout the neighborhood. The sythe performed great. 2014 we acquired 7.2 acres with fenced and cross fenced pasture and plenty of black berries, laurel hedges and a large variety of schrubs. The scythe (and other tools) have got a workout and are still performing well. My buddy bought ... read more several overgrown acres and tried out our Kombi. He immediately bought his own Kombo system but was unable to purchase the adjistable scythe at any of multiple retailers. He found the scythe one of the most useful Kombi attachments so has been using ours for the last 6 weeks. Not sure what the problem is but I read one review that mentioned gear box failures. We're getting our scythe back from our friend soon. I hope it keeps working as well as it has in the past.

    Mostly good
I used on about 1000 sq ft of lawn. My lawn is 30 years old and the soil is dobe clay. None of the original compost remains in the soil It took me about 3 hours. I am 74 but in pretty good shape. It slots are about 1 1/2 inches deep which I think is about right. It cuts the slots fairly close together so I had to be careful and not be over the same area twice or it striped out the turf. Had to work it back and forth a little to get the depth I needed. It ripped out a lot of the old dry grass and ... read more did a reasonable amount of thatching too. I had some weeds hidden under the grass and those were exposed and easy to remove. I expect it will take 4 to 6 weeks for the turf to recover but It really needed it. I have one area where I reseeded within two months. I had to be really careful on that area. I did the job for less than it would have been to rent a plug type and the tool still is like new. very tough and easy to install. Don't do it if you are having a lawn party soon. wait until after. I think it would have been better to do it early spring then follow with heavy fert.

Airating your lawn is a snap!
The tool took a few minutes to get use to, I have the wheel acc with my Yard boss ( reccommend) The tool once I found the feel was exceptional in power. Ease of use is a snap.

Let the machine do the work
I bought the KM90R powerhouse about five years ago and last year added a rented power-sweep attachment. This year I bought my own from Padula Brothers in Greenfield, MA (Kris Kauffman - Manager). I started a fledgling lawn business and it's grown to around 20 properties I do each spring. My advice is, while heavy, let the machine do the work and eventually it's no more than just following it. Go easy on the paddles if you're using it on pavement or you'll grind them down. My hope is to expand ... read more into a bristle brush, too, for hardscape.

    This thing is amazing!
While it may be a little heavy, once you get in the grove and let the sweeper do the work, this cant be beat. I cant believe I've gone this long through life without one of these. I have a long gravel driveway, about 8000sf and every spring I spend at least an entire weekend raking the rocks out of the grass. Just picked one up today and had it all done in less than an hour, with no blisters!

    Talk about a time saver!
Bought this with the Kombi km 130 powered unit. I have a very long driveway and I already spent an hour raking and trying to get the gravel out of grass. This thing made very quick work of it. Seriously fast work of it. What would have taken me days, took about an hour.

    Awesome machine
I have only used the straight shaft weed eater head so far but it has not let me down. I used it in two foot tall grass with .095 quiet line and it knocked it right down without a grunt. I tried it in some goldenrod about 18 inches tall and it mowed it right down but the .095 line didn't last long. I put some .105 square line in and tried that and what a difference, it even cut some small new growth on bushes and up to about 3/8in pricker bushes. I have probably only put three hours on this ... read more machine but I can say I'm very impressed so far. Well worth the money!

Enough power without all the weight
I had the older KM5? home owner model for 12+ years when it had a fatal fall this spring. We had used it hard and put it away dirty for many years. We did find that when using the cultivator tool, it just did not have enough to dig through the garden dirt without fluffing it first and when using the pole saw would some times bog down. We recently picked up the KM91R. I was a thinking about getting the smaller easy start unit, but decided on the larger engine. I am glad I chose the bigger ... read more unit. The difference is night and day. The mulcher plows through the dirt like nothing, the angled hedge attachment (with and without extension) took down a 40 year old vine with ease. Snap on the trimmer and mow down all the tangled weeds in minutes. The pole saw easily takes down 3-4" branches and the blower attachment makes clean up a breeze! The weight difference is negligible compared to the extra power for plowing through tough jobs. I would definitely recommend this for the home owner and professional!

    This product is great
We got to demo this product for A week. We used the trimmer attachment, hedger attachment. We paired it with the 3000 back pack. This was able to day a full days work. We did 12 yard with a single charge.
