    HS 45 with 24inch blades
If ever there was a great hedge trimmer, it bleeds orange and grey! This HS 45 has power and fast trimming ability on even on thick branches! I decided to get the 24 inch blades for off property jobs and it was well worth it. Unfortunately, there are some drawbacks: During the beginning of the season, it does take a good amount of pulling to start it up, but I found that the MotoMix helps cut that away. The engine is a little loud, but the Stihl ear protection equipment takes care of that right ... read more away. The fuel tank is very small but refueling is a snap. Finally, the unit does get a little heavy if you haven't used it in awhile. ;) All in all this hedge trimmer is well worth your money and most importantly, your time!

    Nice little pair of trimmers
I am co-owner a small tree service called Barnhart and son tree service and I've had mine for about a year I really like them because they are super lightweight but yet big enough to tackle anything you want to I have done small shrubs and big with these pair of hedge trimmers. I honestly don't like the bigger trimmers because they are just too heavy when you're running them all day long. Again I have tackled small and big bushes with these little guys and they have done perfectly. I do got to ... read more admit I don't get a lot of shrubbery but I get enough that I want a good dependable pair of hedge trimmer's that don't weigh 3000 pounds and right here the HS 45 is the way to go!

    Great Hedge Trimmer
I purchased this hedge trimmer to ease my task of trimming all the bushes on my 3 acre yard. What would have taken me several hours was cut down (pun intended) to just over an hour. These trimmers are easy to start, have plenty of power, and are easy to handle. If you have used any of the other Stihl products, this one will be a breeze to operate and maintain.

    Monster
I bought this model to trim an overgrown 20 year old Privet hedge. Cut through 1”+ branches easily. Do not buy this model without the available harness for the battery pack it will literally pull your shorts off! Seriously this model does the trick.

Great tool for fall perennial garden.
I bought the HSA 94 R for my wife to cut down perennials in the fall. We used to use a modified string trimmer with a saw blade but it was too dangerous. This works great in cutting tough perennial stems and even fleshy hostas. There is plenty of power which seemed to outlast us and a nice long cutter bar. We used it for about 45 minutes until we had to go in for dinner and there was no indication of any power loss. The handle and grip are very comfortable. The only issue we have is that there ... read more are four safety triggers plus the key that must all be engaged in order to start the trimmer. It takes a little getting used to but we eventually got the hang of it. Our old process involved me cutting the plants down with the modified string trimmer and my wife coming along and picking up the mess I made. Now I grasp the plant and gather it together and she takes the HSA 94 R and cuts the plant at the base. I deposit the plant in the garden trailer. Done! My wife commented that this was one of her all time favorite gifts.

    Tough shears with good power
These shears are awesome. I only have to hedge with my big hedgers twice a year now since I use these for my weekly trimming. Can handle bushes, hedges and about anything else in your yard. Battery life is excellent and I use the clipper attachment for cutting grass in delicate places and topping off certain flowers and plants. It's so easy to use and lightweight my wife loves to use it as well. Another excellent product from Stihl!

    where's the longer handle?
Just got myself the hsa25 trimmer. I did the trimming of my yard and It did a great job. I have a bad back, so I can't wield a traditional trimmer. But bending over is not healthy for me either. Stihl sells a longer handle for this trimmer in Europe and Russia but has decided not to sell it in the USA. .

Ideal for shearing heather, lavender & grasses
I have been searching long and hard for a low vibration cordless trimmer to spare my arthritic hands and wrists for the hundreds of heather, lavender and ornamental grasses I have to shear annually. This is ideal. I sheared plants that used to take me a couple of days in a couple of hours. And feel no after effects in my hands or wrists. It's lightness and small size makes it easy to control so I ended up with much better looking results than a regular hedge trimmer. It is definitely not for ... read more thicker woody stems. It cuts clean too. I didn't try the grass shears. The neat little carrying case is nice to although I couldn't figure out how to secure the hand tool so it doesn't slide out. I can't remember how it was secured in the first place.

This is an excellent electric hedge trimmer for Home Use . . .
This is an excellent electric hedge trimmer for Home Use. It is easy to handle and use. The dependability and power has more than met my expectations. The unit is corded so you have to bring out your long extension cord. However, there is a convenient slot at the rear of the handle for attaching your cord so that it will not pull loose when you are walking around. The appearance and quality of build is excellent, as you will normally expect from a Still product. I highly recommend this unit for ... read more home use. I have NOT used it commercially. One of the gas-powered hedge trimmers might be better suited for that, but this one is excellent for home use.

I am a gas to electric convert
I was convinced that electric would not be powerful enough. To give electric the best shot I bought this Stihl model. I could not be more surprised. This is a Boxwood eating machine. Pretty much if you can get the limb in the teeth, you can cut it. I cut limbs 3/4" in diameter. I locked the motor a couple of times on the biggest limbs but that was cutting technique. Start the motor first then cut the limb. I never had any more trouble. Worrying with the electric cord is what it is but gas has ... read more its on set of problems. After several hours of straight cutting with endless power I am not as tired and I do not smell like fumes.

    Great product, But!!!
Works great on just about anything you want to trim. It would be nice if it had a trigger lock. I know they assume that you will cut off your finger or something. But if you have 200 feet of box wood to trim it would be nice to have a trigger lock. It is one of the only trimmers that actually does a clean job of cutting box wood. It cut my job time by 2/3's. It can be tiring trying to hold the trimmer in different positions due to the way you have to grip it to to maintain the power on mode. I'm ... read more now on my third unit.

    Great for the price
I was debating on a battery power or gas. After talking to several people who said their battery is always dead when get ready to use their trimmer, the gas power was my choice. Its noisy but I live in the country, if I lived in the city I would consider a battery. I use it to trim grapes, fast and easy.

    Powerful and easy to use
I’m not commercial but have 2 1/2 acres of plant material. My maintenance time is about 25% compared to manual methods and physical exertion about 25% less. The trimmer will last me a lifetime. It pays for itself in one season compared to hiring commercial landscapers

    Wow so powerful
Finally decided to stop going for the cheap hedge trimmers that break and have little cutting power and try the 82T 24in and wow i should have done it from the beginning. It has so much power and leaves a great smooth cut. I was trimming limbs an inch thick inside a large overgrown bush and didnt realize it till it sliced right through with ease. Easy start and seems to warm up and ready to go in a matter of seconds right out of the box.

    Light weight. Powerful.
Only issue is the rev limiter kicks in and it requires you to adjust the throttle to avoid it.

    Handles very easy.
Replaced the HL 45 with this. This makes hedge trimming very easy due to the extended reach on this model.
