    Very Pleased
Starts easy, runs well, uses very little gas, Does the job as desired, I have a full acre of land, lots of Fir trees and broad leaf trees, maple, walnut, cherry. The Broad leafs blow very easily, the fir needles are a lot tougher. I should have purchase a bigger blower because of the fir needles. This one works but more air power in my case would work better. All in all very pleased !!

    BR 200 – Stihl - leave blower.
To It May Concern: I have purchased number products from Stihl over the years. I have been very pleased with the performance from all of them. But this new, BR 200 – Stihl - leave blower is outstanding. Also, I am a Disabled Vietnam Veteran and have a difficult time walking and using my legs, arms and hands. Because, of the lightweight and fairly easy start system, I am able to use this blower with very little problem. The Stihl should offer veteran’s discount, they are a little pricey, but ... read more their products are worth it. Best regards, Gary Maznik Roaming Shores, Ohio

Good, but a few issues early on.
I have only had this machine about 4 - 6 weeks and have given it only light use so far. But it has been easy to start and operate. Air flow and velocity seem good and it really has not been as noisy as the electric blower I had before. I really like not having a cord to get out, drag around, and put up. I did have a problem while on my 3rd tank of fuel and took it for service. They replaced the carburetor within 2 days and it now seems OK.

    Great handheld power.
When my old blower broke I bought a BG 56CE. It did not have the power I needed, my local Stihl dealer let me trade up to BG 86 CE. It has great power to blow wet cedar tree stuff off my roof and out of my gutters. It is relatively quiet compared to my last blower. The engine runs so smooth, I don't get the pins and needles feelings in my hands after extended use, which is my favorite aspect of the BG 86. I also like the four year warranty (with purchase of Stihl gas:oil mix).

Great Product wish I bought this the first time
I now have both a trimmer and the blower/shredder vac. I have to say you get what you pay for. Both units start easy and operate flawlessly each time I use them. I wouldn't tell people to buy any other brands. I have had other names like craftsman and Troy built which I thought would be good products but I have always been left with problems shortly after owning. I finally bought a Honda mower three years ago after a craftsman mower just over a year old quit. Great for those who hate roof tops.
I haven't tried blowing leaves out of the gutters from the ground, but i have a roof with several different pitches on it. Using one 90 degree elbow and 3 extension pieces, i am able to get all my gutters without getting close to the edge. I don't care for roof tops and i don't like ladders, this allows me to clean the gutters and roof and stay far away from the edge. Definitely well worth the money.

    Totally worth the $$$
I bought the bg 86 blower and love it. And had to try the gutter kit because i didn't want to climb any more roofs. This kit worked perfectly, didn't fall apart at full speed, and blew all that back crud that coats the gutter after a year. Don't buy cheap. Stihl makes a great product you can count on.

    Works as advertised
This thing keeps me off the roof. Recently cleaned out a wet, heavy, packed drop of leaves with little problem. Did wear a hat but if you watch the wind direction and the orientation that you're blowing you don't get hit by very much. I peeked and the gutters are CLEAN: no leaves, sticks or even shingle gravel. On a calm day some leaves wil settle on the roof to blown out again a different day. I haven't had any problem with the elbows coming off, but they occasionally hang up in the gutter and turn a bit.

Starts easily, blower offers strong performance.
Bought it to replace an older blower made by a competitor. Considering how each perform when brand new, the Stihl is better by being easier to start and by offering a much stronger airstream. Although slightly more money, I am extremely glad that I spent the extra dollars. I now own two Stihl products and will never purchase a different brand.

This blow/vac is worth every penny!!!
I've owned this product for about six weeks and have used it every weekend. I've used the shredder system twice. The easy to start system STIHL has is second to none. I've tried several other brands, and finally decided to spend the extra money and get a well known and reliable blow/vac. I wish I would have bought this a long time ago. The ease of use is superb. Switching over from blower to shredder is very easy; Especially after you do it the first time. Don't waste your money on other ... read more brands. Bite the bullet and get a STIHL.

    Love this machine!
Read a lot of reviews before buying this vacuum and the people that complain about it aren't using it correctly.First, buy it from a dealer that services Stihl equipment. They (at least at the ace I went to)will start the machine before you buy it, and walk you through the correct procedure, that was awesome. The biggest thing with these is common sense, don't go plunging the nozzle in a big pile cause that will clog it. You will learn how much the unit can handle and just don't exceed that. I ... read more skim the the pile back and forth and works great. I have big maple leafs and it chews them right up. Like the bag ,it works just fine. I love this machine! Only use the good Stihl synthetic oil and a little staybil , that's the key.I have another blower and only use this for the vacuum shredder so as far as switching back and forth I don't know. Love this machine!

    Treat yourself!
Ok, I normally bought power equipment by price point first. After being in the lawn business and in maintanence I guarantee this...if you want durability, dependability and efficiency you need to try Stihl! It is by far those most well designed equipment around. Give yourself a great gift!

I would recommend this blower for the small home owner.
My experience with the BG55 has been great. It always starts; prime once, choke on twice, choke off once and it's running, just half to milk it up to full throttle. However I need a blower with a little more turbulence, acorns and leaves move well but a good twig laughs at it. Overall it's a good machine

    excellent for the average home
You can't beat the power of a gas engine! I had a battery blower prior to this and it was just ok. This Stihl 56 is great. Light enough to carry and more power. The very best thing is the eave trough cleaning attachment. In a few minutes I can walk around my home and clear every gutter and downspout without a ladder. Time saving and significantly safer.

Slightly less CFM, a LOT less gas consumption than BG85.
I bought a new BG 50 and inherited a used BG 86 from a friend. Got the 86 fixed up at my local repair shop and have used both head-to-head. For the price, the 50 is the way to go. Cost me almost as much to repair the 86 than to buy the 50 new. In terms of power/CFM, the 86 definitely has more guts, but I go through about 2-3 times as much fuel with the 86 as I do the 50. There are times that the 86 can blow super wet, heavy branches and piles of leaves that the 50 can't. The 50 does the job, and ... read more it is super fuel efficient. Can't beat the price and efficiency for non-commercial/professional use!

    great no nonsence machine
For the past 30+ years, seems like every blower I have owned had premium features like easy start, environmentally responsible, comfortable, etcetra. all of them eventually needed repair and/or replacement. Some needed ethanol free fuel and/or special 2 cycle fuel oil. Went to the Stihl dealer, asked for the cheapest no nonsense product. Turns out the BG 50 has the highest CFM and does not require a PhD to start and run.
