Just what I was looking for
I was using an electric powered blower and my house needs sweeping almost everyday due to the many trees so I was looking for something portable, compact, strong and dependable. This gas blower has it all and so far I am very happy with it and for the price it was well worth it. I have a big yard and carrying the electrical cord was getting annoying at times not being able to reach and not having the freedom to move freely. Since the purchase and from when I first turned it on it has not failed ... read more me and has always performed he same when I have used it.

    Lightweight; handy
I use this lightweight Stihl blower to move leaves from my driveway, walkways and yard. It seems to be as effective as a previously owned backpack blower. It also is easy to move to a friend's house to do the same jobs. The Easy2start feature is also important as I am over 80. I also got a supply if the Stihl premixed fuel which extends the warranty to two years.

    As good as advertised
I bought this blower after having a box store branded blower that was nothing but trouble. It ran like a Studebaker and sounded like a fog horn with asthma. But man, this new Stihl runs like a Swiss car and blows like a Cat 5 hurricane. Easy to start, gets great gas mileage and doesn’t require charging every five minutes. This Stihl blower is a keeper. I think so much of it, I keep it in the guest bedroom. (When not in use, that is!)

    Great Blower
I purchased this blower 3 years ago for fall leaf cleanup and general homeowner use. It gets used at least once a week for cleaning grass clipping from garage, driveway and street. One of the things I appreciate about the blower is that it starts very easily. When the engine is cold, I can always start the blower with three pulls. The blower idles well and has a lot of power for moving leaves and debris-even when wet. I've read other reviews about hard starting and rough running but honestly, ... read more I have had no such issues. I am very pleased with this blower and have had zero issues.

    Weak blower
Bought this blower to replace another brand that was hard to start and didn't run well. The Stihl starts easy but it cost $30 more just for the easy start system so it better be easy to start. Blower runs good . It is a little on the heavy side but still not so bad that I want to fight getting a backpack blower on every week. One surprise is that it seems weaker than the one that it replaced. It is fine for blowing grass clippings from the driveway and sidewalk but I don't think it would be ... read more powerful enough to blow heavy wet leaves around.

    Awesome Leaf Blower!
I've had a BG86 blower for 2 years now and love it. I've owned the cheap box hardware store blowers in the past and they've all broken too quickly. This STIHL BG86 is really reliable and very easy to start no more than 2 pulls every time! If you have a lot of leaves to deal with then this is THE blower for you. The features are handy including the throttle lock so the throttle trigger doesn't have to be constantly pulled. Do your self a favor and buy one!

Super functioning product with great quality.
I purchased the Stihl BGE71 blower in June 2013. I've used it quite a few times and it meets all of my high expectations. I went w/ this model due to the two speed switch, the lower speed does come in handy when in tight spaces, in my garage, etc. This item is lightweight and of high quality. I have no problems with the cord. I would have went with the battery powered unit except it was a very high price and fairly low runtime. The electric product is great. No gas/oil/carb to mess with. Plug ... read more it in and its ready to go. My 50' cord does fine with most of my jobs. I add a second 50' cord when I need to get out just a bit further.

The power of this tool is great
Just purchased my 86c. I have a lot of trees on my city property. The 86c delivers the power to blow all of my fall leaves into the street for the City to pick up. This blower has enough power to blow through 12" deep leaf pile up and push them to the street. I tried the cordless blowers. They just can't produce enough run time to finish the job. Very happy so far with this tool.

    Great for ladies too!
After my divorce my nephew lent me his old Stihl blower and bagger from his landscaping business. This was the blower that was not secured and fell off the truck and hit the pavement, but it still worked like a dream. I appreciated it because it had the bagger feature and was easy to start. Long story short. He moved the blower and bagger went with him and I went out the next weekend and purchased the same model with the bagging feature. Thank you for building such a dependable, easy to start ... read more durable piece of yard equipement.

Bought the BR450C-EF for the electric start feature- Great Innovation by STIHL
I bought the 450 for the electric start because it always seems like someone is coming up to "talk" with you! I have three other Stihl Backpack Blowers that serve me well, BUT....I always seem to gravitate towards the 450 for the electric start convenience. The power is equal to my 600 and 700 and the starting procedure is simple! Starts every time with the electric start even after sitting for a few months. I can't begin to say enough good things about the 450....so go and get one,you won't be ... read more disappointed. You get what you pay for with STIHL!

    Time saver
This blower has tripled my productivity. After using this blower commercially I am amazed at the amount of time it has saved me. Features I like: Electric start Moveable throttle to your arm length The self contained blower tube is fantastic. Power is very sufficient. Cons: shoulder straps are bad for such a high dollar blower. It seems like they were an after thought. It gets uncomfortable during long periods of usage. The blower is thirsty, has a big tank for fuel but it can go through ... read more it rather quickly.

AWESOME BLOWER FOR PRO'S OR HOMEOWNER!
First, this is the best blower I have ever used.I have had echo, shindy, redmax etc. I also have the stihl br600 magnum, great blower also.the br450 cef has lower numbers on m.p.h and cfm, but you cannot tell a difference blowing.plus the electric start and tube make up the difference. Blows wet grass clippings, wet leaves and moves piles of dry leaves with ease. The end tube decreaser is great for moving wet material, remove that and moves piles and piles of dry leaves. Very comfortable, ... read more convenient and reliable. I WOULD RECCOMEND THIS BLOWER TO ANY PRO OR HOMEOWNER.

    Great productworks as advertised
The vacuum tube works great! You must go slow with wet leaves or small twigs. I pick up 10 to 12 vacuum bags ever other day in high winds. No instructions, but look at the instructions you got with your blower it explains how it works. GO SLOW WITH WET LEAVES GRASSHOPPER. Do not exceed the vacuum capacity of the blower and you will have no problems.

    Great multi-function product
I'm almost 70 years old. I have 4 large oaks in the yard. I could only use the vac mode for about an hour before I was worn out. I finally used bungie cords to attach the vac to an old flat cart and arranged the bag to hang from the handle. Now I don't carry the bag, I don't carry the vac, I just pull the cart and swing the pick-up tube through the leaves, empty the bag, keep it fueled-up and can work for at least 4 hours.

    Excellent Surprise
For the last ten years or so, I was blowing my leaves into piles, raking those piles onto a tarp, and dragging them to the back yard and piling them up there. It was a hassle. I bought this attachment today. I was skeptical about the performance of it and whether it would be worth the money. It's worth the money and then some BUT, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. The blowers do not like sticks. You want to make sure you pick those up first. Also, if your leaves are dry (and they ... read more should be. It works much better that way) it's a dirty job. Then vacuum away. I was able to take what would have been 3-4 large tarp loads of leaves and shrink them down to 2-1/4 trash bags. Put those by the street and done. No 3 foot deep pile of leaves to worry about decomposing. I highly recommend this attachment.
