Rated 2 out of 5 by Yard Boss Refuses To Work From the time time that it was new you had to crank it 5 or 6 times before it would stay running. Then it would not take the gas, it would just bog down. After 5 minutes it would run fine but had no power. The dealer would play with the carburetor and say that it was fixed. After it cooled off it was the same old thing. I finally bought a new carburetor and it worked great after that. October 18, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Excellent Chain saws but horrible Yard Boss I have purchased two chainsaws of different size for different purposes- one about 10 years ago, and another 2 years ago. They are working amazingly well.Based on my first experience, I bought the Yard Boss. It worked great the first season. It didn't start the second season and I had to pull many times but of no use (just like other customers reported). I had to take it to the dealer for service. and it was fine that season. However, back to starting problems this season again. Changed the spark plug and air filter, but it is of no use. Tired of this, and getting ready for another trip to the service dealer.Once the Yard Boss starts it works very well, but starting is the problem.I have several other machines and NONE of them posed similar problems. I very much support the purchase of Stihl chainsaws but not the Yard Boss. September 26, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Light weight - Easy to Start - Very Good Product I have had my Yard Boss tiller for a couple of weeks and am very pleased with its performance. I have run about 2 tanks of fuel out thus far and have tilled already broken up ground as well as un-tilled earth. Obviously this tiller was not built to break up earth that had never been tiled but it has done well in my beds as well has some fairly hard ground.I will say that the only thing that I will have to watch out for and continue to maintenance is the tilling head becomes loose and will swivel on the shaft. I hit some pretty large rocks and the torque has loosened the tilling head. I think this is just part of reality and I will have to make sure everything is tight when I start each time.I am using True Fuel in the tiller because of past 2 cycle engine problems and hope this will keep me from having the fuel system working on in the future. If I see that I will use the tiller a lot in a season I will buy the Synthetic Stihl oil to mix with good gasoline. Thus far everything is good. August 31, 2016

Rated 2 out of 5 by My tiller never starts. I have never got this tiller to start without taking it in to the D&B where I bought it and they always have to remove the carburetor and put it back together before it will start for them. I have 3 STIHL chain saws and they start with little problem. July 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great tool to have I own and operate a landscape company. I bought a M55 yardboss made by Stihl ,specifically to finish my artificial grass installations. Works great. I love it. May 9, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by very disappointed! I own several Stihl produces (MS 180 C, FS 56 RC, and BG 56 C) and haven't regretted any of my past Stihl purchases however I purchase the Stihl mm 55 yard boss with the wheel kit and the FS-MM trimmer attachment and am very disappointed. Sorry to say that my Mantis tiller I had for years is 10 times the tiller the Yard Boss is. Stihl makes great products but I can't recommend this product. May 7, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great Product Hard To Start First Time I just bought the MM55 and it is the eighth Stihl product I have purchased for my home use. It works great but to get it started the first time is tough. I have Stihl chainsaws, pole saws, trimmers, and blowers and they all start with very little effort, but this one is a pretty aggravating to start. Once it starts it is easy to start as long as it is warm. If you shut it down, and it cools off, then the problem recurs. The product works great, has good power and is an excellent product, but is big a pain to start when cold. This does not seem indicative of the other Stihl products I have purchased so this problem was a surprise, and disappointment. Because of this I give dependability a low ranking, but other than that it does what I need it to do. All my other products I would give 5 stars, but I cannot do that for this product. I would recommend this product, but with caution. May 6, 2016
