Rated 1 out of 5 by from not fit for purpose do not buy this product if you want to mow lawns with it.the design fault lacks a safety screen which allows debris to enter the motor damaging the drive belt. Lawn mowers eject clippings and other objects away from the lawn mower, this terrible stihl product feeds them into the motor damaging the drive belt and stihl will not stand by the warranty and then fail to have parts for repair. if they bother to address this design flaw it would be worth considering, but the lack of follow up service from stihl should leave you cautious.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality and dependable! This mower is lightweight and easy to push with a slope in your yard(which I have in my front yard). Haven't had to mow through the same patch twice. I use the 4 setting which in my opinion is perfect length. Haven't had a problem with the setting dropping either, it stays where you put it. I bought the 300 battery and the 300 charger which is plenty good for a yard 3,500 sqft. The more you stop and go the more juice it'll use, seems pretty obvious to me, so leave it on during turns and pivots to maximize battery life. Very pleased and more impressed than I thought I'd be. Went with Stihl instead of greenworks and ego because I knew that if something went wrong it could be worked on by a Stihl dealer(which is where I purchased it from). The two brands I mentioned in my research had no place to fix it whatsoever. I'll be purchasing the blower and weed trimmer next. You get what you pay for and Stihl is superior quality.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what I expected from Stihl I've owned it about a month, used it 3 times and it works me and my wife to death. I end up having to make about 40% more runs over the Green Pro 18" battery powered mower I was replacing with this RMA 410C. This RMA 410 C leaves a 2-4" strip of grass behind nearly every path. I've tried both the regular blade and the mulching blade and it does the same thing. It has good suction, picks grass up good, but the catcher is hard to empty. It gets heavy real quick and the lid is very cumbersome to maneuver around. The little orange closing button never lines back up properly and catches and closes. You have to set the thing down and line it up and snap it closed. When emptying you have to turn the container around in order to grad the handle on the opposite side to make sure the whole thing doesn't dump improperly. Very cumbersome catcher. We're very disappointed in this product's design and cutting performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasing to use I've used this mower for several months -- it works well for a small urban yard. I previously had a different brand of cordless mower which weighed 50 pounds more than this light-weight beauty. I now look forward to mowing! My old mower required bagging while the Stihl completely mulches the grass. The collection works fine --but unnecessary. The battery does run a little short - about 35 minutes--but I just take a 30 minute rest break while the battery recharges and then finish my last 10 minutes of mowing. The best features are the light weight construction and the clean cut appearance of the lawn afterward. The downfall is is the short battery life -- but could easily be solved with a second battery-- or taking a short rest while it recharges.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Deck Height does not stay in selected position causes battery rapid battery drain The first cut was low and great. The second cut the same. The level was set to 2 out of 6, very low, but my grass was not high. On the third cut and after about 10 days, I set the deck height to level 5. I noticed the cut was still low. I checked the deck height and it dropped to level 2. This happened repeatedly. The deck height adjustment does not stay in the selected position. Instead it drops, because the pin that holds the deck in place does not fully engage the height slot. This is a design flaw. I am shocked that this was the design that STIHL released as the final design of a second generation product. As a result of this, the cut is too low, and causes excessive drain on the battery and the charge is not sufficient to cut my entire lawn. I have to re-charge my battery to finish the lawn. I have a 60x100 lot with only about 50% grass coverage. Very disappointed. I should have bought a gas powered unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great solution for a small to medium city yard I just purchased this product from Outdoor Power Products in Roanoke, VA.My experience in purchasing the lawn mower was great. Frank the sales person was honest and knowledgable. I purchased a FS85, AL-300 charger, and two AP-300 batteries. Everything was manufactured in Germany except for the battery charger. It was very important to me that the Lithium-Ion batteries were not made in China because of supply chain issues and QA issues that have plagued this country of origin. The mower started right up, worked well, lite in weight, and provided a clean even cut in a non flat environment....well done Stihl! I will be purchasing more battery powered equipment.
