Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good saw Bought the saw for climbing...needless to say every time we have felled a tree one of us grabs it for limbing. A 6-8 inch limb is a piece of cake for this thing it's capable of more, one will have patience to let it cut the larger limbs...very easy to use with very little stress to the operator easy to start beautiful little saw. It's a spendy little saw but after you use it you'll find that it's worth it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Constantly Breaking I've been running this saw professionally for almost 1 year. It's application is strictly the pruning of branches 4" diameter and smaller. It is used by owner/operator both in areal lift truck and climbing. In that time there have been an exceptional number of breakdowns. 1) Muffler screen plugged up after two weeks; remove and discard. 2) Top handle broke where it flares into the carburetor housing. 3) Dime-sized hole developed in oil tank near the dawgs. 4) Plastic starter gear on the flywheel stripped out, presumably because the pawls rub on it while running. 5) Annular buffer failed. 6) Roller nose on guide bar failed. This saw was never abused...normal professional use. Synopsis: Saw is constructed of thin materials to cut down on weight, making it prone to breaking.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not a great saw for the money ok so im on my second one, the first one lasted about 1 year ran well but had problems from ground problems too the flywheel problem. I did notice when I took it apart that there was almost no wear marks on cylinder. just bought my new one. It has the original chain on it, and it died today. cool little saw for way to much money. these saws have a key built into the flywheel its aluminum and breaks easy. plan to spend a hundo on that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This saw is great Love this light weight saw...Will handle anything.. I have cut trees down 8 inches thick. it's suppose to be a limb saw, but is way more than that... I have to watch my self or I won't pick up my big saw at all... Wife loves how light weight it is and I do aswell.. save your back.. Its a bit pricey, but the first time you use it , you forget how much it was... I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My MS 150 TC-E is a pleasure to use. Now. Fueled up with fresh 89 and STILL premium oil. Filled chain oil tank. Operated primer bulb 3 or 4 times after fuel flowed. Closed choke, set throttle and pulled rope at least 20 times with out so much as a pop. Thought that it could be flooded so I opened the choke and pulled another 20 times. Nothing. Removed spark plug which is a pain and found it to be dry. Grounded spark plug securely against the cylinder to check for spark and could not see any. If starter rope was pulled very fast a feeble spark could be seen. Closed the spark plug gap slightly and re-installed it. Repeated the cold start drill and it started first pull. Let the engine warm up for a couple of minutes. Made sure the chain was being oiled and adjustment was correct and tried to cut with the saw. When the engine was put under a load it would just quit. After re-starting it would quit as soon as the throttle was opened. Since before starting the first time I had adjusted the limited adjustment mixture screws to full rich there was only one thing to do. My experience with CARB approved two stroke equipment is that they don't run. Removed the low speed adjustment limiter cap and adjusted the low speed screw about 1/2 turn further toward rich. Now the saw starts first time every time and runs very well. Two stroke engines, especially small ones are very sensitive to mixture adjustments. Too rich = run bad. Too lean= wont run at all. It is not at all uncommon for changes in air temperature and density to require re-adjustments. The high speed adjustment seems fine. Great saw for trimming and 1/2 the weight of my other 12 inch saw. The quality is very good. Will be surprised if this review is approved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I wanted I am only 35 but my back is shot. I have plenty of bigger stihl saws but I was in pain when I was done all of their products are great but this one is so light it seems like a toy but don't be fooled it can cut wood like crazy not just the limb wood either but what ever the bar will cut it will buzz right through I am very impressed and so very happy at the end of the day my back still hurts but I can at least move and now have a warm house too!!!!
