Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST Choice for Demanding Conditions & Plunge Cutting I opted for this Bar in a 41" length on my MS-880 R "BAKERIZED" Hi-Performance/Timbersports Custom Pro Chainsaw. This saw's aftermarket engine modification is cranking-out unreal power.I prefer to stay away from roller tips when cutting dirty logs or close to the ground, such as flush-cutting stumps. However, I also recommend a solid tip whenever plunge cutting. Since I have boosted horsepower, I also opted for an 8-Tooth Sprocket and the resulting higher Chain speed. I'm running .404/.063 RSF Chain. The increased arc over the length of the Duromatic E Bar helps keep your cuts straighter than those using the Rollomatic-series Bars. This Bar does not flex as much as the Rollomatic-series, so it should be the obvious choice when opting for an extra-long Bar.The newer Duromatic E Bars do have the angular Oil Delivery Holes. However, I have not run into any problems with adequate Oil delivery to the Chain on my 41" Bar. The Oil Delivery Holes on the longer Bars are of larger diameter. My MS-880's Oil Pump is set at the nominal factory "E" setting & my 41" Bar is plenty wet as it should be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bar I have ever used. The Stihl Duramatic E . Proving it's durability, this bar has been through a lot of cutting in the amount of time spent using this, it's really shown that it can handle whatever is thrown at in the past few years. I have cut everything from small limbs to felling, to bucking, to flush cutting 40 inch stumps, this bar has stood up to the punishment. Proving itself and outlasting any other bar 3 to 1. This is my bar of choice!
