Rated 5 out of 5 by Cowboy611 Best hand sharperning kit Ive looked at a few sharpers and worked for the forest service and this is the one i settled on and am super happy. Makes sharpening a breeze and the chain is sharpen than new. Its super easy to figure out what angles and the use the depth gauge if you have a basic understanding or have someone trustworthy show you. September 13, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by 4K9club Perfect product for a novice I always sent my chains out to be sharpened , wasn't comfortable with doing it myself. It got quite expensive so I checked out the product at my dealers. Extremely easy process with this kit. If you are intimidated by doing it yourself, don't be. It's super easy, just follow the directions, stihl has on line videos to help as well. I highly recommend doing it yourself and saving the money versus paying someone else. February 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by DougFirDowner Chainsaw Necessity This product in invaluable when cutting in the forest. Not only does it provide all the basic necessities (file guide, depth gauge, files) but it comes in a very handy pouch that can be easily carried from location to location. Also, the handles are interchangeable with other file sizes and pitches to reduce volume. I would recommend this product to anyone who cuts in remote locations where everything must be done on site and fast. January 15, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hunter62 Easy to use I do not waste my money paying someone else to sharpen my chains. A sharp chain is a must when using a chainsaw. I have 4 chains I rotate for my ms250. I mostly file and sharpen them at home. I have two chains for the ms362 and one of them is a full skip chain. The full skip is really easy to file in the field at each gas fill up. The stump vice is a great addition to this file set for sharpening. Getting the right angle is easy with this tool. 1-4 strokes is all I need for a sharp chain. Ask the dealer to show you how they work. I have used a dremel and actually prefer the file set. September 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Homebody77 Well thought out and easy to use. I had been doing a lot of tree felling on my property and so I thought I should probably get my saw sharpened to keep the work easy. I didn't want to have to take time out of my day to drop my saw off at a dealer, get it sharpened, and then take more time to pick it up. Call me lazy. I prefer to do the work myself. It gives me more of an intimate knowledge of my tool. See how it ticks so to speak. I bought the sharpening kit for my M170 saw and I have to say it was extremely easy to use. The kit is matched to my chain and with the gauge already marked with the correct angle it made sharpening a snap. This product was very well thought out. Kudos to Stihl. June 8, 2014
