Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I have owned my BR 600 for about 7 years and it still cranks on 1st or 2nd pull. The only blower stronger is redmax but redmax feels twice as heavy and it’s very uncomfortable. The BR 600 never once felt heavy or awkward to me and I have been on many ladders and roofs with my baby! I am a tree climber that started off as a brush dragger so trust me I got years of experience taking and using a blower. The BR 600 is the only Blower I will ever use the BR 700 looks cute but yea I’m sticking with my 600 Trust me this is money well spent that will last for years!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The BEST blower in the Stihl line! I ditched an anemic BG-86 in favor of this unit. This blower has the velocity needed to send leaves & needles rolling. The key to this blower exceeding the others is in the smaller diameter tube. This design provides for increased velocity at the nozzle. Plus, the smaller diameter tube is not clumsy like the larger ones on the BG-450/700 models. The larger tubes are more-easily damaged & hard to extend from the telescoping collar. The BG-600 has an optional nozzle that is curved so as to facilitate blowing close & parallel to the ground. This is particular useful in getting large quantities of wet leaves or needles to roll away. It lessens the need for stooping over while operating. I recommend getting one!For those living in snow country, this blower is outstanding in removing powder snow from sidewalks, driveways, decks, autos, overburdened trees, etc.I agree with other reviewers about the need for a breast strap to prevent the shoulder straps from sliding off, but that is an easy homemade fix.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchase for Regular Homeowner As a regular homeowner, I did a lot of research on blowers before purchasing. We own a home in a nice subdivision, so nothing demanding. I have historically purchased yard equipment from the big box stores. They have typically worked for 3 to 5 years and then died. My previous blower was a gas powered handheld. I was looking for something that would provide me with greater durability and performance. I also noticed recently that my forearms began to experience some fatigue with my handheld blower so I began looking for a backpack replacement. I went back and forth on what model to purchase. Ultimately, I was drawn to the commercial line for its perceived durability and performance marks. I ended up purchasing the BR600. I have only had it for a couple of months so time will tell on its durability. However, from a performance perspective, I have been absolutely thrilled. Again, I am just a homeowner. So when I say that the backpack feature is a BIG DEAL, I am sure all professionals go, "well, yeah.” I love it! I am not sure how I didn't go this route sooner. The actual performance is top notch. I am acutely aware of how underpowered my previous blower was. It also starts very easily which was alway an adventure with my previous blower. Anyway, I have just been super pleased and (so far) would make the same choice had I to do it over again. You could argue that the commercial line BR600 was a bit of overkill, but the power is SOOO nice. The service at Andy's Lawn Machinery has also been excellent; more specifically the buying experience.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Blower, but could use some User Improvements Good Blower with good power, however it could be much better if Sthil made improvements to make it easier to put on to hold the straps together so they do not slide off your shoulders. I use a Carabiner Clip to hold straps together, once on.Also, once on, and the blower shuts off, you have to remove to start again. Stihl should modify the blower so it can be started while wearing it. Stihl should consider these updates...why have a good blower, when they could have an outstanding blower!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easey to start, really powerful I bought this blower because our vacation property gets ignored in the winter time and my 15 year old BR340 just took too long to blow all the wet leaves into the woods. Now my wife and I can double team the leaves and finish up in a couple of hours. This blower really has a lot of power and can push a lot of leaves. I really like that the blower doesn’t have a handle “on” switch, just pull and blow. I would highly recommend this blower if you have a large area to clean up. The only thing that would be nice is a chest strap, the blower keeps trying to slip off my left shoulder. This blower is fairly light considering the amount of power it has. I am 69 years old and have no problems using this blower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is an amazing combination of air speed and volume. The 600 has less cfm than the 700 but it makes up for it in air speed. The higher air speed helps it blow through piles of leaves by getting them to roll as you push them. I have used this blower with wet leaves and snow covered leaves and it powers through all of them, even half decayed, packed down leaves. Gathers all acorns and moderate sized sticks in its path. The higher air speed also allows for a more initial blast to get the objects in its way moving. The tube is lighter than the 700 and extends farther putting less strain from swinging side to side and allows the tune to get closer to the ground foe those that are taller. The tube allows for maximum flexibility, can even be rotated upwards or backwards with minimum resistance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good all around blower I have only had this blower for 2 months, but I can give you an idea of what to expect. First I would like to talk about power. This machine can blow wet, large piles of leaves with little effort. Second topic is noise. The noise did not seem loud to me, but I do wear ear protection muffs. Third topic is fuel efficiency. It seemed to consume a good amount of fuel but that is normal for a machine in this power category. Overall I am very satisfied.
