Rated 2 out of 5 by Decent power, but weak housing design The handle at the top of the unit broke after 3 days of casual use. The straps are attached to this piece, so one of them is off. The entire backplate needs to be replaced in order to have both strap... which is the essence of a backpack blower. As of now, it's just an awkward hand held. Poor design and/or poor quality of materials. August 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy start an very effective I went up to the 350 when look at the 200. I am very glad I did. With a little over an acre the blower is matched up well. It is not to heavy an the wife has even used an not complained. Very good unit. July 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome blower I've owned different types of blowers in the past but the stihl backpack blower is what I've been looking for for a long time I've owned it for about a year and haven't let me down at all the only down side to it is storing it but over all great product May 17, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by perfect except for backpack straps The backpack straps are cheap, thin and constantly trying to slide off one or the other shoulder. There should be more padding and a chest cross connecting strap. Not a light unit, but that comes with the displacement. March 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Two thumbs up. Nice light quiet dose a great job on my 1 acre. This is my first blower dam its awesome. STIHL makes great products. You can feel it and hear it on there equipment. There Engineering is by far the best of it kind. Thank you STIHL. December 1, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Answer to a 20 year problem For years I've been battling leaves on my acre lot that backs up to conservation land. I've worn out a few rakes , I own a good corded handheld blower and I even bought a 8 hp push blower. With all that I still hated leaves. Plus the various trees in my yard drop all kinds of things all year long. So this year my brother In law baught a Stihl Br600 for his yard, he and his wife raved about it and said I should try it out.Well I did, and I couldn't believe how fast and efficient it was . That machine would blow away anything you aimed it at. It blew away sticks that were 18" long, thatch, rocks, dog droppings, whatever. It actually cleaned the grass. I was sold, but I couldn't justify spending that kind of money so I went with the 350 and I bought six cans of Stihl fuel to extend the warranty and to properly break it in. While it's not the animal the 600 is , it's no slouch . With a little more effort It did everything the 600 did. My wife calls it my new girlfriend, did I say it's not that loud either? When I think of the time I wasted, I should of bought this years ago . November 2, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great back pack blower This blower is the best bang for the buck when it comes to power and size. Only reason i didnt give it 5 stars in all categories is because i believe it could use thicker wider shoulder straps and a taller back pad for comfort. The pad is only at the bottom portion of the blower. July 11, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by I can't recommend this product I've used this blower about 3 times with nothing but non-ethanol gas and HP Ultra 2-Cycle Engine Oil. Yes, I go to a special gas station to get the gas without ethanol and my other engines purr with it. Yes, I follow the instruction manual to start it and I run the engine until the carburetor is dry after use. I don't like rebuilding carburetors! This will not start. When I initially bought the blower, I had to take it with whatever gas the seller put into it since it is STIHL's policy to start it up when one buys it. Now I have to take it in for service in which they will probably say the carburetor is gummed through no fault of my own and we all know that is not covered under warranty. I thought buying something that was made in the USA would have made a difference. Apparently not. June 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Blower Best blower I have ever bought. Easy to start and more power than I need for home use, but it is nice to have June 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wishing I bought this 10 years ago My hand held blower finally quit running and I was ready for a backpack. My brother has a Stihl BR 600 Magnum for his lawn cutting jobs and loves it. It still runs great after 8 years of use. I get a lot of leaves in our yard so I decided the BR 350 would be powerful enough. Works great so far to clean up grass, etc so I'm hoping when fall comes with all the leaves, cleaning them up will be a breeze. Easy to start, has great power and easy on the arms compared to the hand held one, but the unit is heavier than I expected. I decided that the BR 200, which is lighter, wouldn't be poweful enough for the amount of leaves we get in the fall. I'm a female in my late 50's and barely 5 feet tall. I've gotten used to using it, and love it. I use to hate the clean up after cutting the lawn, now I look forward to it. June 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by the little blower that could We purchased this blower about a year ago to replace a older br 380 we had as a backup. We didn't want such a bulky blower so we opted for this one. We use it for our commercial gardening business. It has been used about 5 days a week since we've owned it and it still hasn't been in the shop once. It still has the original carburetor and spark plug. We had a hard time with the tube mounted throttle since we mostly used hip throttle blowers. It just takes practice. This blower is strong and light and very fuel efficient. April 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by trusted brand customer for life. I landscaped in high school 10 years later when I bought my first house I knew the equipment I was going to buy for it and was of course not disappointed in any way shape or form. it is the best product on the market and best brand and company that stands behind it. Rated 4 out of 5 by Just purchased used a few times This is the first Stihl product I have bought. I have bought other less costly brands but have not been happy about starting issues and how long the blower would last.Stihl has a good name and I thought I would give the product a try . It is a little spendy but I hope you get what you pay for.I did buy the easy start version. The product is not real easy for me to start but much easier than others blowers I have had. Probably after I use this sthl blower I will improve.Power is good . The unit keeps running and doesn't stall out, balance and weight are good. April 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by At first glance this blower looks well built I have operated my blower a few times as I purchased it back in January with the sweet rebate from Stihl. It has cranked each time with only one to three pulls. The motor is very strong and it blows a lot of air removing wet leaves with little effort. Waiting for the summer to put it through it paces. Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent product This blower has proven to be reliable. It is easy to start and has plenty of power for any job. Not to mention it is light weight for its size and power. Great buy!! February 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice piece of business This blower will do just about everything the average homeowner would need. It moves large piles of semi-wet leaves, cleans driveways and sidewalks and gets leaves out from underneath shrubs. I have even used it to blow light snow off the driveway. The only thing, is it takes a little bit to get used to starting and putting your arms through the straps and getting them adjusted. Then, if you need to shut the blower off, there is no way to restart without taking it off....a small price to pay for a piece of gear that works so well but noteworthy. February 12, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by awesome power I had several hand held cheap blowers in the past. I decided to get what begicks nursery suggested. It cost three times as much as the cheap ones and works 10 times better. Well thought out design. January 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Blower Got this blower for christmas for my small landscaping company and I am not disappointed has plenty of power used it to blow snow starts no problem I don't even have to choke it I just prime and pull about one to two times. May be a home owner blower but works great for me on commercial jobs running it about every day now for hours. I usually use it with just the bottom extension and it works great on moving wet leafs, wet saw dust, and light snow so i'm sure that it will be perfect for grass. The only thing is it is hard to get into tight areas. January 17, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the weight and it's powerful! I'd recommend the Stihl BR 350. Great machine. It might hurt a bit for the price, but you'll be glad you bought it.I live on a corner lot in a heavily oaked sub division in Florida. No snow, but lots of oak leaves to tend too. This blower gets the job done in half the time it used to take with my old hand held.Pay a little bit now and rest assured you gain that cost savings in time spent out on your lawn. Great purchase. Rated 5 out of 5 by There's a reason.... There's a reason why Stihl products cost little more. It's because you get what you pay for. This blower falls into that category. From looks and design to performance, I'm glad a paid a few dollars more for a Stihl. The blower is powerful enough for the average homeowner and has a low db rating so it's not that loud. From the minute I brought this home, I had a blast (no pun intended) cleaning up all of the leaves....from heavy and wet Maple leaves to lighter and smaller Japanese maple this blower makes easy work of cleaning up. Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent mid-level blower I wanted a mid-strength blower and I liked that this one is made in America. I have a 1-acre property with several trees in front and behind the house, and this is just the right size for it. I've had the blower for one fall season now.The BR350 is just strong enough to blow the leaves out to the tree lawn when they're wet, though it takes a while if I wait until the trees are bare. With dry leaves I can do the whole job in one session pretty quickly. The blower starts within 4 pulls every time and runs smoothly. I trust that will continue, since the Stihl trimmer I've had for a few years does. The backpack is comfortable enough to blow for an hour or more without fatigue. December 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Blower Although I had a problem after the third tank of gas, but the dealer resolved it, it is a great blower and will blow the leaves twice as fast as my old blower. November 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product! I am an Ace Hardware employee and as an employee I've had to start and build numerous Stihl products for customers. I'm also a small engine mechanic in my free time. I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase of my BR350 blower. I'm extremely satisfied because Stihl requires us to start any Stihl equipment before it leaves the store, which helps improve quality control and ensure the customer gets a working unit every time. And when a unit does fail to properly start we have Stihl trained technicians that are able to fix it on site. Other than the customer service side of it, the blower itself has many amazing features that I appreciate seeing as a small engine mechanic, things like the automatic choke that turns off when the throttle is pulled, a very helpful feature that helps the customer use the machine properly without having to put much thought to it. The blowing power is incredible as well. I've used it to blow snow off my driveway at about 1 and a half inches and it worked flawlessly. I'm overall very satisfied with my Stihl products and would recommend them to anyone wanting a quality product that will last a lifetime. November 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Great product. Easy to use. Lightweight. Bought from local hardware for relationship and service if needed. November 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This Product is exactly what it is stated to be and what it is suppose to accomplish! Large Black Top driveway. Always needing dust/debris removal. Several tree's in the area of the home. Purchased the best and the best does the rest! BR350 is a bad boy that accomplishes the job. Thank U Stihl/Deer Country Eqp. LLC November 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by More than I expected Our yard is just about a half acre, but we have several oak trees which produce an abundance of leaves each autumn. The BR 350 might be more than we need, but when our schedule doesn't allow us to keep up with the pace of the leaves falling, it is strong enough when the leaves are several inches deep to pick them up and move them along. Rated 5 out of 5 by You get what you expect for this price & you should This blower is very powerful, starts easily if you mix oil - fuel correctly, like any 2-stroke engine. I am impressed by the overall convenience and relatively quiet operation considering the volume of air it moves. Even so, I always wear hearing protection. Reading the direction is always a good idea. Prime 2-3 times, put choke on if engine is cold, and pull the starter. Once it fires, reduce choke, then off after 30 - 45 secs. It is comfortable to wear for up to an hour at a time without fatigue. Overall this is the best leaf blower I have used. Well worth it in time savings. November 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love My Ghostbuster I have used it several times now ti use on my lawn as well as in my 4-car garage. It starts first time every time with one pull. My son has the professional model and it has more power, but mine works very well for me. I am very pleased with the overall performance so far and have no reservations on my purchase ! My wife calls it the "Ghostbuster" because when I use it, it looks like Bill Murray 's Ghostbuster backpack. October 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Why did I wait so long to buy it?!?!?! I gave up raking years ago, but have always used a hand-held blower. The Stihl BR 350 is very easy to use, packs LOTS of power, and has enough fuel capacity to clear leaves and debris from my entire yard (an acre of oaks and maples) on a single tank. The only potential improvement I can conceive of would be the addition of the East2Start technology found in my Stihl chain saw. The blower starts easily and reliably as-is, but that would be a nice addition. October 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Leaf Blower I have ever had I just purchased this from a dealer that had in front of store as dent and scrach sale. Asked what was wrong with it someone purchased it and did not like so returned it for bigger one. looked brand new was missing end nozzel. Asked if there was one I could purchase store manager said let me look in back I might have one. Turns out he did and put it on the end of blower. So I bought it and 6 pack of oil. He started it up and ran it for a few minuts ran fine. Took it home and started blowing leafs that afternoon took me 2 hours to get the back yard clean. What a great blower run and starts right up no issues has great power and is not real loud. I did get tired with one arm and wished I could switch to my other one, but thats just a personal thing. I would buy again. October 28, 2014
