Rated 5 out of 5 by HLA 65 lithium-ion extended reach hedge trimmer OMG this powerful hedge trimmer is awesome. It gives me the flexibility to trim the tops of my hedges, do extended side trimming on big reaches on my hedges and to do a great job of managing the vegetation along the side of my road. I have the ability to roam a great distance away from the house and do all of my work quietly. Thank you Stihl engineers; myneighbors love you.The next door neighbors also have this equipment. Rated 5 out of 5 by Well built, balanced, good power I have 300 feet of laurel hedge along with other tall shrubs that require trimming 1 - 2 times per year. The battery powered trimmer avoids the hassle of gas powered tools that don't tolerate inactivity for 3-4 months. The 3 hours +/- run time with the AP 300 lithium battery is more than enough time for my sessions with the trimmer (that's actually 4+ hours of working time since the trimmer is not constantly running when I step up and down off the ladder and remove clippings from the work area). The trimmer cuts well. I have used it for 5 weekends now. Wish I had this tool years ago. July 26, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great tool I'm a landscaper and I bought this tool about 2 years ago. At that time it was relatively new to market and I was hesitant to spend the money required for the trimmer, battery & charger. So far it has been one of the best tool decisions I've made. Works as good as my previous Stihl gas powered hedge trimmer with no starting problems or any other issues related to gas powered equipment. I especially appreciate 0 emissions and low noise!Great job Stihl!P.S.I want to move to the battery blower & trimmer but so far the run times are limiting. Hopefully that will continue to improve.
