    Perfect for Mosquito Treatments
I'm glad I didn't buy the 450 model. This is all you need, plenty of power. Easy to manage. For your average 1/2 acre lot this is all you need. For the bigger lots it's easier to refil then to deal with the size and weight of the 450. At home I use it as a leaf blower (there is a switch to open and close the liquid line). I haven't had it for more than a month but I'm sure it'll last. It's 21" high so it fits in my truck bed with the bed cover closed. The 450 model is 27" high, it woudn't have fit.

3 years now and still going strong
I use the larger SR450 at our plant to control mosquitoes and I bought the smaller SR200 for use at our cabin in northern Wisconsin. It works great using Talstar P (Talstar One) insecticide. The unit is on it's 3rd season now and it has never failed to start (I use the Stihl 50:1 premix cans of fuel). The SR200 is still fairly heavy when filled with solution but still manageable.

This product is the perfect tool for our mosquito control services
STIHL's SR200 lightweight sprayer is the perfect tool for our mosquito control services! It has allowed us to become more efficient in more ways than one. The lack of weight and simplistic controls allow our technicians to apply the services in a faster, more accurate way while the system itself retains more of our reduced-risk formulas. This means we end up spending less on supplies in the long-run and can further reassure families that they are receiving the most effective, least invasive ... read more mosquito control service in the area.

works good but is too heavy and it lid is hard to get tight
my unit does the job beautifully but is too top heavy when full. the lid is sometimes hard to get screwed down and leaks while in use. i'd like to see stihl engineer the spray tank to operate from below the blower utilizing a pump somehow.....

    Great for Mosquito Control
This misting blower does it all. I have treated my yard once so far with Talstar P and I can go outside in the evening and not get bit at all! I know other reviews say the unit is heavy, but hey 4 gallons of water on your back and a backpack blower are not going to be the lightest thing to carry around. I recommend filling it up on a sturdy table or truck tailgate, and then slipping the straps on over your shoulders after you have started the unit. I can't wait to to use this for fertilization ... read more and weed control soon. This product is not cheap, but it will pay for itself this summer by not having to hire pest control to treat my yard for mosquitos. Make sure you use Stihl's Motomix for fuel on all of your Stihl products as this will extend the warranty. It has a 2 year shelf life too. Not bad!!

    Serious commercial unit
I purchased one of these last year to incorporate Mosquito control into my landscape business. It's a great unit with the exception of the weight when it's full of fuel & chemical, near 55lbs and top heavy. I wish they could have designed it with the tank on the bottom. Gets much easier to handle with less chemical. Otherwise it's a great machine, being as I'm a small framed person I'm getting the new SR200 which is smaller & lighter.
