How did you get involved in lumberjack sports?
I became involved in Timbersports in 1990 at Finger Lakes Community College.

When did you begin participating/competing in lumberjack sports and the STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Series?
I started completing pro in 1993, and started the STIHL Timbersports Series in 1997.

How do you train for the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series and other lumberjack competitions?
Several types of training go into preparing for the STIHL Timbersports Series from, weight training, to aerobic exercise, to practicing each event.

Are you related to any current or former STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series competitors?
No.

Best/strongest STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series discipline:
My best/strongest events are Single Buck and Hot Saw.

Any advice for the collegiate competitors?
College competitors have to work very hard to achieve success in this sport. Never Give Up. When advice is given to you by a seasoned competitor, use it to your advantage.

My proudest moments in my life are the birth of my three daughters.

Anything else you'd like to share?
I am an 8 time NYS Lumberjack Champion. I hold Sawing World Records in 2-Man, and Jack & Jill Crosscut, Chopping and Sawing World Titles, and Hot Saw World Titles. I am the Winner of 3 International Championships, and 2 Time Fryeburg Maine Fair Champion. Since the year 2010, I have begun filing Competition Bowsaw Blades and Crosscut Saws.
