What are your plans after graduation?
My plans are to move to South Dakota and start work on the Black Hills National Forest.
How will you prepare/train for the Collegiate Championship in June? Who will you train with?
I’ll chop, saw and condition as much as I can. I also hope to train under the direction of Branden Sirguy, David Moses Jr., and Mike Forrester.
When did you first start participating in lumberjack sports? How did you get involved in lumberjack sports?
I was introduced to the logging sports team through the NAU Forestry Club my freshman year and have been an active member since.
Are you related to any current or former STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Series competitors?
Do you have any advice for other collegiate competitors?
Pay attention to the little things, those are what make the biggest difference. Most of all, be coachable.
Which STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series pro would you most like to train with?
I’ve already received instruction from Branden Sirguy and hope to train with him in the future.
Best/strongest STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series discipline:
Right now, stock saw seems to be my strongest and most consistent event.
Proudest moment in your life so far:
Receiving my degree in forestry from one of the best programs in the country. Winning the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Western Collegiate Qualifier comes in at a close second.
