What are your plans after graduation?
Upgrade my Merchant Mariners license to a 100 ton Master, work and live back at home in Maine.
How will you prepare/train for the Collegiate Championship in June? Who will you train with?
I will keep swinging an axe every day and get out to train with Mike Slingerland and Arden Cogar Jr. as much as I can before the event.
When did you first start participating in lumberjack sports?
The first event I competed in was last October at the Cradle of Forestry.
How did you get involved in lumberjack sports?
I have been splitting wood since fourth grade and running a chain saw for about four years and I jumped at the opportunity when a team was started here at Wilson.
Are you related to any current or former STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Series competitors?
Do you have any advice for other collegiate competitors?
Get out and swing that axe as much as you can.
Which STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series pro would you most like to train with?
I am really looking forward to getting some training time with both Mike and Arden in the coming month.
Best/strongest STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series discipline:
Hopefully all of them by competition time.
Back at home I spend a lot of time out on the water sailing traditionally rigged vessels and working in the woods.

Qualifying for the U.S. Collegiate Championship.
