What are your plans after graduation?
I will be working with a timber feller in the Asheville area.

How will you prepare/train for the Collegiate Championship in June? Who will you train with?
Practice, practice, practice! My coach, Shawn Swartz, and I will be running through the disciplines three or four times a week, and I have been and will continue to train in the weight room, as well.

When did you first start participating in lumberjack sports? How did you get involved in lumberjack sports?
I started competing in the fall of 2012. A team was started up at Wilson and I jumped at the opportunity.

Are you related to any current or former STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Series competitors?

Do you have any advice for other collegiate competitors?
Practice, practice, practice! YouTube is a great study guide. Keep a level head and take advice when it is given.

Which STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Series pro would you most like to train with?
Jason Wynyard

Best/strongest STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Series discipline:
I am feeling pretty confident in the standing block chop, as well as the single buck.

Hiking, swinging an axe, running a chainsaw and sailing. Really anything that keeps me outside and moving.

Proudest moment in your life so far:
A second chance to compete at the national level in the STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Series. I'd like to thank my coach for being so patient with a college senior.
