Rated 5 out of 5 by Fs 240 I have used the tool primarily for clearing brush and it's ability to do this is far beyond what I expected. It has plenty of power and will easily cut through just about anything without difficulty. The unit starts easily and runs smoothly. I will say it is heavy and the need to use the support vestt is a must June 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Powerful I purchased this trimmer a few weeks ago and I am very pleased with it. It is extremely powerful and it has cut the amount of time I spend working in the yard considerably. I really like how easy it is to clear fence rows of briars and vines using the brush knife which also cut the grass as well. Like the Stihl products I have purchased previously, it exceeds my expectations. June 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Doesn't stop! Cut out my 200 ft fence row of overgrown sapplings, some of them upto 3" using the chipper blade.. In about 20 minutes! My previous trimmer was the FS45.. A good trimmer, but not fit for heavy use..When cutting sapplings, I wanted something that would cut through them without flinching, and not bog down. This trimmer is it. I have owned it for almost 30 days now, have got more done on my place in the last few weeks than I have in the past 6 years!Definitely not a purchase I regret! May 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by A Real Beast This thing is a beast of a trimmer, I have used the FS130's and the 240 is lighter with twice the power. I have yet to find anything to stop it. Well worth the money. May 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Extreme power I have a 45 and a 55 and my dad has a 90 and all 3 looks like toys compared to this one. It is very powerful will cut thru anything in front of it. If you are looking for a heavy duty weed eater to do small to large jobs this is the one you want to put your money into. April 25, 2014
