    Good value.
Money well spent. Very satisfied with this unit. Being 6'4" leaves the length of the shoulder strap lacking. Can't quite get the head as close to the ground as I would like. I will be asking my dealer if there's a longer strap available. Otherwise I'm extremely happy with it. Starts easily every time.

bicycle handles are a big deal
My first stihl trimmer puts all those others to shame. Power, ease of starting and rugged dependability are all tops. The one negative is the clamp on my bicycle handles was slipping a bit. I opened it up and inserted a thin sheet of sandpaper (rough side inward) and that cured the problem. I am now able to cut more with less fatigue than ever before.

Great trimmer, starts easy ,runs strong.
Does everything I want, except feed line dependably. Wants to break off inside trimmer head. This still happens less frequently than it did with my old trimmer.

    Very dependable
I have taken of my own yard since 1988 and have owned other trimmers gas and electric. I purchased my 1st Stihl trimmer in 2005 and my 2nd in 2011. I'm totally dedicated to these awesome machines. Always starts, easy to use, same with their blowers. The only reason I purchased another one in 2011 is because the 1st one was stolen.

    Too easy
I ran out of trimmer line today, third time I had used the trimmer. I was curious if the replacing and winding of the line would be difficult. Directions were to cut 6' 6" of twine twice. I cut the plastic material and then followed directions.....I had the spool ready in a minute and back together ready for use in under 5 minutes. I adjusted the handle angle (I am left-handed) and now I find the trimmer easier to use. My old trimmer was a straight shaft, and the new one is angled. I am ... read more getting better with it each time.

    Thanks, Stihl!
I learned that if you buy this Stihl trimmer, you will not be sorry. I had a problem with my trimmer and the company went beyond my expectations to make things right. Somebody from Stihl personally reached out to me and could not have been kinder or more courteous. What a nice, unexpected gesture that I can't imagine many companies duplicating. As somebody who has been doing lawn care for 40 years, this trimmer is easy to handle and the easy start is nice so you won't dislocate your shoulder starting it.

    I bought this for me
I recently purchased the FSA 65 electric trimmer to trim my yard. After reading the specs, and from previous purchases of Stihl products, I was confident this product would not disappoint. The initial charging time of the battery was about 30 minutes and when I first used it I was amazed at its power. My back yard was very over grown so I trimmed off the tall grass so it could be mowed. I not only cut all of the overgrowth but there was enough power left to trim the whole yard. Even as I was on ... read more the last bar of the battery, the trimmer still had the power of a full charge. I love this product and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. It's light weight, extremely easy to use, and is a true work horse. Five stars in my book; this is a great product.

Very quiet and plenty of power for the average homeowner
I looked at various trimmer options including your gas models. I have some hearing problems so I was leaning towards the cordless units. Since I didn't want to deal with extension cords anymore, I eliminated the corded model. I purchased the FSA 65 and couldn't be more pleased. follow the directions and you won't be dissatisfied. You can trim early in the day and not wake up the neighbors!

Far better than the competitors electric rechargeable trimmer.
Purchased an FS65 electric rechargeable trimmer after wearing out 2 -18volt and 1 - 40volt Ryobi rechargeable trimmers. I mow and trim 2.5 acres and the FS65 performance is amazing. The weight is comfortable and it is well balanced. The straight shaft unit works best for my varied trimming needs - chainlink fence, flower beds, trees, pond banks, and concrete block walls. By the time the battery runs low on charge, I am ready for a break. Compared to the Ryobi 40volt single line feed the Stihl ... read more 36volt dual line feed with thicker and higher quality line, the FS65 has cut my trimming time by 1/3. The unit is substantially more expensive (too expensive) than the competition, but the difference in performance and quality is significant.

DONT GO WITH ANY OTHER BRAND
This weedeater is the best weedeater on the homeowner market. This is the best trimmer I've ever used and I've used many brands. I love everything about this trimmer but one thing, and that is the head. I went with an echo speed feed head and trust me if you get this trimmer or any other still trimmer you may decide to go with that. But besides that everything on the trimmer is great. You will not be disappointed!!!!! For a verbal review and start up go to my YouTube channel Custom Cut Lawn Care

    No more cheapo weedwhackers
After years of struggling with bargain priced trimmers I had enough and finally got a Stihl and couldnt be happier. I've always wondered how landscape crews could trim a large area and make it look like it had mowed with a mower. Well after using my Stihl and feeling how well balanced it is now I know!

    Very good trimmer
I have only used this 4 or 5 times so far. It seams to have plenty of power. Starts easy. I have been using cheaper green trimmers for years finally got tired of trying to get them running each year. Went ahead and spent the extra $100.00 or so to buy a quality product. The double warranty from buying a six pack of the Stihl oil is a no brainer as well. The only thing about it I don't like so far is the black ribbed grip around the shaft. It is not tight and the trimmer turns upside down holding ... read more it by that grip. It should be tight in my opinion. If you look at all the lawn care services you'll notice most of them have Stihl trimmers. That tells me they are a dependable product.

    Nice machine.
I like the machine,it starts easily and runs good,I have had some problems with the spool that holds the string. At first use I could not get it to advance any string, unless I shut it off and pulled it out by hand, I took it back and they looked at it,then I went home and used it to trim my yard and it seemed to work fine. I think the string was kinked up on the spool and thats why it wouldn't come out,so time will tell, but overall it is a nice piece of equipment.

    this product has great features
In the old days, Stihl trimmers were no problems for me. I have a Stihl chainsaw that was bought 15 or so years ago, and it is still awesome today. The trimmers of yesteryear worked very well. You didn't have to worry about the starter rope pulling out. I am not comfortable pulling the rope '' gently'' to start the trimmer. Also, I get maybe 15 to 20 min on fuel, then have to fill it up again. The string is too thin for my yard. Stihl has been my choice almost forever, I do recommend Stihl though.

    Gets it done
Had a fs55r that became problematic. With a $20 e-loyalty reward from Stihl to motivate me, I headed in to find a new one. Settled on the fs50c because I could be out the door with tax for less than $200. Power is great, but the curved shaft is a step backwards from the straight shaft model I was used to. Also, the trimmer head on this one is a pain. The winding feature works ok, but the knob sticking out on the bottom makes it more difficult to 'float' the trimmer when cutting big areas. It ... read more tends to catch and dig in. I may try to cobble my old Fs55 straight shaft onto this new power head. All in all, it starts on 3 pulls or less, revs quickly and gets it done around my house.
