    very well built sprayer
this sprayer is a must have for any homeowner. very easy to use and maintain. lightweight even when full of solution. feels to be built very solid compared to other sprayers I have had before.

    Unsure at this point.
I purchased one based on the reputation and positive experience of owning multiple Stihl products. Tired of the throwaway ones (other brands) sold at the big boxes. The quality looks to be great. Unfortunately I discovered it doesn't come with the fan nozzle. I need to spray large areas and not just one weed in a sidewalk crack. The manual shows an optional nozzle for fan spraying and the picture appears to show another nozzle that is yellow which must be that one (the included one is brass). My ... read more dealer tells me they can't get the other nozzle which makes mine very limited. Is this nozzle available or will it become available? Mine is awaiting use till I get the nozzle. I suggest they bundle the nozzle with the product even if they have to add $5 to the price or whatever. Help! I need the yellow fan nozzle.

Great Tool, Needs Minor Design Improvements
I have used this product for the entire season, primarily to spray deer repellent on our gardens. This product is every bit as good as the other Stihl products I have used for many years including two leaf blowers, a string cutter, SG 21 backpack sprayer and a power edging tool. It is well constructed, holds excellent pressure and the nozzle does not clog like other cheaper brands. It holds enough liquid to do a complete spray job without being too heavy. The two minor limitations are: 1. the ... read more carrying strap is poorly designed in the way it loops through upper housing, thus limiting how it can be adjusted and used as an over-the-shoulder carry -- and -- 2. the hose is connected with a plastic nut at the bottom of the tank, which is prone to coming loose when used over time. I strongly recommend users ensure that nut is tight before ever use. Otherwise, it will work its way loose and the contents will come gushing out of the bottom of the tank--an especially unpleasant experience if it sprays all over you.

    Great Sprayer/blower
I'm a home owner with about 1.5 acres of property with lots of landscaping. I researched all the reviews I could find on blower/sprayers and landed on Stihl due to the product's features and readily available parts & service locations near me. I struggled with the decision to buy the SR450 or the SR200, (worried that the SR200 would not have enough power to handle my needs). In the end I bought the SR200 and am very happy I did. It has plenty of power for a residential homeowner's needs.

    Works very well
The SR200 works very well and is easy to use. I have used the SR450 in the past but it is too heavy. The SR 200 lacks the power of the SR450 but makes up for it in weight. If STHIL had something in between it would be great.

    Great for Mosquito Control
This misting blower does it all. I have treated my yard once so far with Talstar P and I can go outside in the evening and not get bit at all! I know other reviews say the unit is heavy, but hey 4 gallons of water on your back and a backpack blower are not going to be the lightest thing to carry around. I recommend filling it up on a sturdy table or truck tailgate, and then slipping the straps on over your shoulders after you have started the unit. I can't wait to to use this for fertilization ... read more and weed control soon. This product is not cheap, but it will pay for itself this summer by not having to hire pest control to treat my yard for mosquitos. Make sure you use Stihl's Motomix for fuel on all of your Stihl products as this will extend the warranty. It has a 2 year shelf life too. Not bad!!

It appears this is machine is well put together
I am one not to usually get on the computer and write a review but I felt the need with the SR450 mist blower I just purchased yesterday for mosquitos at my house which sits on 2.5 acres. Folks every year when we get a lot of rain the mosquitos would keep our family hostage in the house. I live very close to the Missouri river and I have a creek in the back yard. After using the product Talstar and misting the yard the mosquitos are gone. Now Sthil could have not been so cheap on the shoulder ... read more straps. They are to narrow for the weight of the machine when filled with water. Also they should have put a waist strap on the machine. This should have been standard for this machine for the price.Yes it is a heavy machine when chemicals and water in it,But man it really throws the product out there. I can't comment any further due to just purchasing it one day ago..

easy to use, heavy to wear.
bought the SR 450 and put it to the test right away by puting 60 gallons through it at a campground. first impression was that it was very heavy and awkward when full. The Stanley manual pump backpack sprayer that i own has more padding and a chest strap. I struggled with the shoulder straps digging into my shoulders. The power was good and the flow takes some getting used to. Easy to over apply if not careful. ready to find new straps and keep on spraying.

    Best Sprayers on the Market
We have used Stihl sprayers for years they are one of the only backpack sayers that can hold up to daily use they average 10 to 15 jobs per day 5 to 6 days per week. They will last a coulpe of years with normal cleaning maintenance on the sprayers Cliff

To all the with bad reviews
This is by far the best back pack sprayer you will ever buy. You can replace every single piece on it. As a professional pesticide applicator with licensing thru pennstate university and work for landscaping company, I have 3 of these that are well over 5 years old and the only issues are replacing the nozzles when worn, which you have to do for every sprayer because that's normal wear and tear, and changing and keeping the diaphram/piston area full of clean oil. These are used an average of 25 ... read more hours a week each by two of us. I have one for lawn care products, one for tree, shrub and flower products, and one for non-selective herbicides. So as I said anybody that has something bad to say about these products, abused them, or do not know how to properly used them or maintain them. Which is scary because they are very rugged and very simple to maintain. The only con I have is they are heavy and that's only due to the high capacity, so to fix that only put 3 gallons in at a time.

    Great Product
Overall this was an excellent investment. All back pack sprayers most likely have the same difficultly of mounting after filled. It definitely needs to be at a height that can be put on while standing. However, I may be using the wrong technique.
