Rated 5 out of 5 by What power! Love this unit and the sound it makes, everyone's not joking that it sounds great. Starts on first or second pull when cold, first pull when warm. No issues at all starting. It just plays with the trimmer attachment. I use a non-Stihl tiller and non-Stihl edger without any issues. Just need to clip the button numb off the attachment so it won't rub the shaft (the button doesn't like up with the Stihl attachments, you are putting it in with the button always pushed in to get the right attachment angle).I can't say enough how great the KM130R is, I would think the KM110R would be fine and possibly even the KM90R. It just plays with the edger and tiller attachments. September 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Time saver! One tool and many tools at the same time. Makes life easy. Switching heads takes seconds. Trim, edge and blow with one engine to start. September 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome product I bought this to be a flexible peice of equipment that I can switch out attachments quickly and not have a bunch of different power heads taking up room in my trailer.I have used the brush cutter, trimmer, edger, and hedge trimmer which have all been awesome! Rated 5 out of 5 by An amazing system. I love my Kombi tools! KM130 – After 2 decades of using various competitor's products, etc, I became frustrated with the maintenance and reliability problems. So I sold all the working and broken tools on Craigslist to offset the cost of the Stihl Kombisystem. I doubled down by buying the KM130 engine with blower, string trimmer, metal blade trimmer, adjustable hedge trimmer, adjustable scythe, pole saw, and carbon fiber extension. Everything performs great and meets or exceeds my expectations. Dare I say the sound of the engine and the smell of the Stihl fuel actually make the yardwork fun! The Kombi tool has tons of power and hasn’t bogged down in any of our work. It is heavier than some of my prior tools, where the power unit + attachment is physically longer than a purpose built tool. But the shoulder harness works, and my jr high and high school buys can both use the tool safely when adjusted correctly for them. At first I found the KM130 with attachment to be less maneuverable than tools which are much smaller when purpose built (ie, blower, hedge trimmer). With some practice and adjusting my style, it feels more natural now. I am very happy that now I have just one gas engine to deal with. This simplifies my maintenance A LOT, and is a huge advantage. My boys take care of several neighbors’ properties… mowing, trimming, pruning, leaf cleanup, and the Kombi system is perfect!BGKM Blower…a bit less maneuverable than a purpose built tool like a BG56. Sounds amazing like a jet turbine.HLKM Adjustable hedge trimmer…a bit less maneuverable than a purpose built trimmer for trimming round bushes. But excels at trimming our square hedges because it IS so long. Prunes the tall hedges in a way that a smaller tool cannot do safelyFSKM String Timmer… works well. No issues with string feed system. Comparable to size and weight of any other string strimmer. September 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product lots of power. I use it for my prop mgt company for a multitude of uses. One caveat, if you plan on using it for mainly trimming there are better options imo as this dog wants to run full throttle. Great product and super versatile. August 4, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Time & Money Efficient Our company, Coast Landscaping Inc. loves this product. We just upgraded all of our units. We love the versatility, and how fast and efficient these make our work. Because of the multi-use feature, we are able to do more work in a shorter amount of time. This all adds ups to saving costs that ultimately funnel down to our customers. July 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Power to Spare The KM130 powers all the available attachments with ease.I'll probably still get an HT131 for it's reach, but for branches closer to the ground this tool set up with the pole pruner end is perfect. July 22, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Waste of money Complete waste of money. Bought system for person yard work. Thought why not spend money on a big name product. Bad idea. Power has never been there. Follow all instructions on storage and starting still has no power. took to local dealer to fix they charge me $32.50 for maintenance it didn't need. Local dealer has no clue on whats wrong. So now I'm stuck with a $700 weed wacker with less power than a yardman at Menard's. Glad I didn't buy a Stihl chainsaw. July 22, 2015
