Rated 3 out of 5 by Good design, suboptimal blade A handy saw I used for landscape pruning & while wildland firefighting. The folding design and size are ideal for pant or pack pocket storage, the handle is comfortable, and the locking mechanism works well, but I was disappointed with the blade quality. The blade is thinner and of lower quality steel than other Stihl and competitors' saws. Although the blade cut well, it bent easily then broke near the handle. The cost of a replacement blade was certainly more than I expected.Overall, it's a good saw that could be an excellent saw if it had a better blade. September 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Mighty mite! I bought this to carry in my backpack or pants pocket while working on mountain bike trails. Does a great job on anything 1-3" when a chainsaw isn't handy. This saw has saved me several trips back to the parking lot to get my chainsaw. September 13, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Strong handle and Replacable blade Awesome bite while using little effort, though blade is not all that strong. April 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Almost as good as their chain saws I bought this saw about 2 years ago for pruning limbs of Crape Myrtles and other shrubs and trees. It has a good heavy solid feel to it that fits the hand nicely. It folds closed like a pocket knife to make it compact and to protect you and the blade. Like most other pruning saws, the curved blade and a pull cutting stroke make this a very fast cutting saw. I keep it in my truck all the time just in case, you never know when you will need it. Stihl also sells the file to sharpen these saws but it does take some patience and skill to get right so just buy a new blade or new saw when this one dulls and practice on the old one, then test it against the new one. All in all you can't go wrong with this saw. February 10, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by SHARP!!! Extremely sharp when new. Very nice saw for trimming when you don't want to fire up the chainsaw. Mine dulled quickly when cutting roots, but it isn't really made for that. Luckily replacement blades are available. November 20, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Blade Lock Broke After just 6 weeks the black plastic blade lock that holds the blade open and closed broke. Saw fits great in my pack as I used it for trimming trees on mountain bike trails. Very sharp and ergonomically correct. November 14, 2012
