Perfect hand saw for trimming limbs.
I've had my PS 60 Pruning Saw for the last five years and it is still as sharp as when I bought it! It has a very comfortable hand grip and seems to be just at the right angle to make cutting almost effortless. The saw carrier is well made and easy to wear on your belt. If you don't want to get the chainsaw out to cut small branches, get yourself one of these,it's a real time saver.

    great survival tool
Ive had mine for 4 years now. I used it all the time doing tree work, and now keep it in my truck for use on limbs keeping salvage at bay. I did break the tip off of it. I'm sure that I over worked it. I've used it on tree limbs, pvc pipes, tires, the list goes on. Love it!

    Handy saw
Riding ATVs for years, I don"t leave the shed without one of these in the tool box. I've cut trees up to 5 inches with this saw, you have to work from different angles, but you can open up that trail instead of heading back. these are great saws and you need one if you go out side for yard work or trail riding. Just get yourself one and see how good it really works.

    Interesting design
Thin bit cut deep and clean on green birch. Ample striking surface for pounding soft wedges. Choke up to extended shoulder to split kindling for good balance. Seems to hold a decent edge so far. Easy to carry in an aluminum scabbard.

    perfect tool for the outdoorsman
Excellent handling and striking force. Used it to take down our Christmas tree this year. Perfect easy chopping even with one arm swing do to rotator cuff tear in shoulder. Highly recommended!

    An excellent axe.
This axe is extremely well built. I had to do a minor amount of sharpening when I got it, but it took a razor sharp edge and holds it well. The shape is good for general purposes, but leans towards chopping more than splitting. It's a good size for my needs; Small enough to fit in a backpack for camping, but big enough to take with me car camping or to process wood at the house. I haven't used it a huge amount, but it's holding up well so far.

Lightweight and a pleasure to use!
The PL 40 Lopper is a very durable, lightweight tool that does the job with ease. You will be amazed at the little effort it takes to cut branches up to 2" in diameter. What I like the most about the PL 40 is the aluminum handles that make it so light. Believe me, this tool is no lightweight when it comes to pruning branches. GREAT value for the price!

    Amazing Maul
Picked this up on a whim because it looked and felt like such a high quality tool; way better than anything found in a box store by far. When I got it home I was amazed at how well it worked. It tackled anything I put in front of it during a 2 hourwork session. Yeah, it's heavy, but that's part of what makes it work. It far and away exceeded my expectations and I've zero doubt I willhave this for a long time to come.

    Great maul
Split a bunch of red oak with this maul, and was very impressed how much better it was than my old cheap maul. Wish I would have gotten one of these years ago. I like the steel collar, really protects the handle.

    Wow!
I have been missing out. I let cost dissuade me from purchasing the Pro Splitting Maul a year ago, instead I bought a box store fiberglass and rubber handled maul. Last weekend, my brother in law and I fought through and busted up a cord of red oak with two box store mauls. The rubber below the maul on both are ripped up from just a few over strikes and it took so many swings to get the rounds to break up.... With last weekend in mind... Today I decided there has to be something better - so I ... read more headed to the local Stihl dealer to look at the Pro Splitting Axe and Pro Splitting Maul. I picked up the Pro Splitting Maul. With the first swing on the same oak rounds, they just popped apart. I actually had to change the speed of my swing so I didn't destroy the splitting stump. It was amazing. The steel sleeve on the handle is great and the weight of the head is perfect. There is a level of happiness that comes with finally getting the right tool for a job - I am very pleased with the quality and performance of the Pro Splitting Maul. Definitely worth the price.

    KaPOW!
I had to re-learn how to split wood with this axe. Im so used to dropping a heavy swing and this monster just plows through Pinion and Ash like they aren't even there. even splitting unseasoned rounds is a breeze. best axe I have ever used.

    The Envy of the Campground
I am a volunteer host at a State Park in Vermont. As such I cannot use my chainsaws, or my 4 wheeler. I came upon a fairly good sized pile of bucked logs, and not being able to use my spliter either had a challenge on my hands. The challenge was offically eliminated last night when I took the first swing with this axe. It is by far the best axe that this former Boy Scout has ever swung. Maybe I won't miss my chainsaws all that much afterall.

    The ultimate splitting tool
I have finally found the ultimate ax for splitting hardwood. In over than 50 years splitting firewood this is IT. Heavy enough to split large cuts, but well balanced to conserve effort. The head penetrates well without sticking, therefore, reducing number of strikes needed to complete split. No vibration noticed, just a joy to use.
