    Safer to use.
BioPlus is a better smelling oil. Kind of smells like french fries when you really put 'er to work!

    Consistent Viscosity and Environmentally Friendly
I appreciate this Bar Oil and know that I'm not getting misted with petroleum products every time I use my saw and that my saw dust can break down into mulch with no poison on my plants! I can see that old saw dust is breaking down into rich soil over time and this bar oil does not inhibit the biological process at all. Compared to other bar oils BioPlus lubricates better, stays consistent in it's viscosity through every temperature I've worked in and has very little smell. It's truly a winner ... read more of a product! I have used it for years and will continue to buy it. I do not worry about my land and the plants on it when I spread sawdust around. I know nature will take care of it. As far as My Own biology is concerned, if I avoid poisons today, it prevents health problems tomorrow. I'm willing to keep taking this step towards healthier chainsawing.

healthier for me, lubes the saw well
Unfortunately pricey. Any chainsaw sprays you with bar oil. I like the fact that I smell like french fries at the end of the day rather than petroleum. I would rather breath and bathe in vegetable oil than petrol. The oil washes out of your clothes easily with no residual smell in an ordinary wash. The saw seems to like it just fine. It seems to have a higher viscosity and it seems to use less, but I have not done a scientific side by side test with the regular bar lube. Hard to find product, ... read more dealers are not stocking it.

    Great Mixing Oil
I have been using this oil in my Stihl products since 1999. I have two chainsaws, two weedeaters, and a blower. Everything starts after sitting for a while. I don't use the saws but once or twice a year and don't drain the fuel and never have any issues. The first saw purchased in 99 still has never even had a carb rebuild. Keep in mind this oil has a fuel stabilizer in it when comparing prices.

The best and only one to use.
My family has been using Stihl for years. 50 plus years. From chain saws to weed eaters and blowers. Been used on the from and job sites. Always starts. But I only of used Stihl oil's in them. Other brands have let me done several times. Plus other Brand's may cost less but you get what you pay for. I have 4 saw's one I know is very old. But one pull and it always started. The secret to all this is to use only Stihl oil's and that will last you for years to come. Personal or prefsanal.

    Excellent conventional oil.
I have run many a gallon of fuel with this oil. It has great lubricity. It is very clean running if the equipment is adjusted properly. And when mixed with 89 octane non ethanol gas it has a excellent storage life. Equipment has been very dependable while using Sthil HP. And the price is very reasonable, when compared to other big name brands. And this product is readly avabile in most areas. I can even purchase it at a local General Store near my home.

Eliminates having to worry whether a gas station uses ethanol.
I don't mind mixing fuel but I do mind trying to "time" my gas purchases to avoid ethanol. Using the Stihl MotoMix allows me to buy fuel any time throughout the year. MotoMix keeps well and I have had no starting problems if I store my machines with empty fuel tanks in the winter. I fuel up using the MotoMix canister I opened the year before and have had no problems.

    Excellent Product
Can't say enough great things about this motomix. Great for home owners. I used to try and mix my own fuel enough to lay 30 days and then drain all the fuel form my equipment in the winter. Now all o have to do is use motomix already mixed last two years great to leave in your equipment. No mixing no guessing no mess and just like everything stihl makes great products. Has a shelf life of 2 years and can be left in equipment during the winter months what more could you ask for. As far price yeh ... read more it's a little pricey until you figure in the amount of oil and gas and not to mention the trip to the stihl dealer to have your equipment worked on with all the ethenal they put in fuels today. All around great product saves time money and a mess and no worries of measuring anything.

Perfect for a rarely used MS-460
I have a variety of Stihl chain saws for different applications. From the HT-100 to a 'baby' MS-180; and I use them a lot on my orchard. What I use infrequently is my MS-460. When I need it - it must work. This means there is trouble or the job is very tough. I heard that All the local fire fighters use pre-mix Stihl gas in their MS-460R and other Stihl equipment so I decided to give it a run. I never looked back. This is the only gas I use in my expensive but some times very necessary MS-460!

    Awesome "cling-ability"
This bar oil is a cut above the rest. Works well in all temperatures. Does a great job in hardwoods where other oils fall short.

    Another winner!
I own all Stihl yard tools. I love each and every one, but I,m also glad to save money when I can. I own 2 saws and I now use Woodcutters oil in both. It works great and I appreciate the savings.

    Only Bar Oil I Use
I have been using this bar oil in all my saws. I do not see any premature wear on my bar or chain.

    good oil
I started using this oil when it first came out, its the only oil that the local store sells, its not that much higher in price, over the lower grade of oil, the only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn'e have much color to the gas when mixed, whish Stihl would make it a darker color.

Ecxellent for RC gasoline engines. Cleanest oil I've found.
I am a Radio Control Airplane Hobbyist who flies gasoline powered planes, using engines very similar to those found in a chain saw. This oil has proven to be the best we have tried at our club so far. Some of my fellow club members and myself were using very expensive high end oils from different manufactures but found that the Stihl Ultra outperformed them all. It is not that the other high end oils are bad; they are just not design for such small engines like the Stihl Ultra is. The biggest ... read more difference we found was in how clean the engines look from the inside when using Stihl Ultra. The difference between two engines, one using Ultra and another one using anything else, is evident right away.

amazing response and cleanest burning oil you can buy
I was talked into this mix when i purchased my MS311 chainsaw and was a little hesitant at first to even use the product but man was i fooled. Not only did it smell and look better it performed like no mix even had a chance against its clean burning powerhouse of a burn. Im an avid and well experinced landscaper. I use all types of two stroke tools hedge trimmers weedeaters chainsaws blowers concrete cutters. Using this mix has improved all my tools starting fuel consumption throttle response ... read more and over all power. Ill never use another mix again

    Great bar and chain oil
Have been using this bar and chain oil for years and I love it. The only thing I would like to see is a red dye in it so you can see it better.

    Top Notch Bar Oil
For the little extra price you pay up front over the bargain oils its worth it. Nice cling on the chain. Doesn't build up in a gooey mess all over the saw. Never have smelled a hot bar or chain when cutting.

According to the pros, this is the best
I was at the pro chainsaw place and got to talking about bar oil. He said that Stihl is changing bar oil types. The winter blend is still in the blue bottle. But now there are two summer grades. The lower priced bottle now contains a cheaper “woodcutter” lube which the chainsaw guy says is inferior to anything else on the market. He said that it is worse than the independent oil, which is only slightly inferior to Stihl. I do volunteer cutting for the County and would rather buy the better Stihl ... read more bar oil than accept free gallons of the Woodcutter bar oil. In the wintertime I transition to the winter grade of Stihl that is in the blue bottle.
