This splitting axe is specially weighted and contoured for making firewood.
When splitting logs for firewood, the right axe can make the difference between charming tradition and exhausting chore. The STIHL PA 50 splitting axe follows the STIHL tradition of precision tools with a wider-contoured head and perfectly balanced weight. The head is made of drop-forged steel and includes a precision-ground edge for maximum durability. The axe also features a long, 29.5” handle made of premium ash hardwood, an oversized neck for added stability and a 4.4 lb. head for optimal performance. It is wood splitting efficiency you can feel in every swing.
