Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the easy start I am a 49 year old female homeowner and this is my first chain saw. My brothers told me if I bought a Stihl I would love it. And I do. It starts very easy...why can't everything start this easy. It cuts great and handles even the thick pieces like a stick of butter. July 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by well worth the money been cutting a lot of mesquite, works very well!!! July 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great little saw Bought this saw to do a variety of jobs including cutting firewood. performs really well, light weight, and you can use it all day. Does everything i expected it to do and then some. Only criticism i have is the oiler failed but after being replaced under warranty (without any dramas) it has performed fautlessly July 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Best chainsaw on the market. Awesome power. Light weight and chain stays sharp through a lot of cutting. Just a really great product. July 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by The things I've done to this saw! I used my 211 to clear 6 years of hedge and locust growth on 60 acres of pasture. It took me three years to finish the task. I ruined two bars and about 6 chains during that time. On my knees trying to cut them off as low as possible lead to all kinds of hits for the 211. I hit rocks, dirt and old wire all the time. The extended warranty is worth the small cost of buying the HP oil at time of purchase. July 7, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by This product is worthless I bought the MS 211 about 2 years ago, it started to leak right of the bat. Took it in for repair. It was still under warranty. Has leak again and again. Was not repaired right. I will not buy another Stihl product. June 17, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Do not buy Purchased this a little over three years ago. Had nothing but trouble with chain oil cap, pull spring coming off, and now chain oil leaking out of machine. Authorized repair informed me that tank separated and since it's a couple of months out of warranty it would cost almost the price of the saw to repair. I'm a homeowner and only used it 4 times. Sad!! June 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Newer better? Ask me 5 years from now. Previously owned a 021 for 20 years for yard use & very happy with it. Went to the dealer for a 250 but they were out of stock. Picked a new style 211 for the same price, knowing the engine was smaller than 250 but comparable with the 021. Needed it NOW as professional tree trimmer was there dropping 2 trees overhanging our house. He was an old school tree climber armed with 3 different Stihl saws. He stated he previously tried one with the quick chain adjustment like mine but it kept working loose. He tried mine and had no. problems. He will reconsider when they offer an in-the-tree saw with that feature. Anyway, I've dropped and cut up several trees, some 14", without a hitch. I like the Easy Start feature, almost as much as my 74 year old father in law who still cuts his own delivered logs for heating wood. I needed a saw to keep my road clear and I'm happy with my choice. The Easy Start adds more parts to the saw, time will tell me how it holds up. June 11, 2014
