Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor Purchase I have had the product less than 60 days, we had server weather over the weekend, I was using the blower to clean the mulch, leaves and sand out of the yard. After about 4 hours it locked up and will not start. The Stihl blower I had prior last for almost 10 years and was much more durable. Very disappointed, going to return the product today. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great blower, only a few minor suggestions Excellent product. Made what I thought would be drudgery a fun job, and a quickly-done job. I only have a few minor quibbles. I'm left-handed so using the righty-only blower took some getting used to, and is still somewhat awkward for me. The hose between the blower itself and the rigid plastic arm and hand controls needs to be longer. I find myself needing to crook my elbow behind the plane of my standing body to hold the control handle, which limits the movement available in that arm and becomes somewhat uncomfortable over time. It feels like being restrained. This hose restriction requires me to walk back and forth more when blowing since I am unable to my extend my right arm to the position I would intuitively if the hose were longer. April 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Solid performer I like the idea that you sell through small business owners who provide great service and provide support at purchase as wellas after the sale.Quality, performance are a key factor to my purchase ex performance beside being made in USA. November 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Built to last I purchased the BGE 61 in the month of January and I have not had a chance to use it for it's intended purpose as of yet because any stray leaves that may exist on my property are buried under a foot or so of snow. I have, however, used it for MY intended purpose, to dry my car after washing without creating any swirl marks on my vehicle. It performed quietly and efficiently to my complete satisfaction. I do tend to wash my cars very early on weekend mornings, so the BGE 61's lower volume should be appreciated when spring finally comes if my neighbor's windows are open for fresh air. I certainly look forward to incorporating the BGE 61 for its primary use where, I'm sure, it will perform over and above my expectations in comparison to anything I've used to blow leaves during my Fall and Spring cleanups in the past.I always believed; Buy less but buy good.Stihl, thank you for not skimping or cutting corners and doing what it takes to build a superior product. Rated 5 out of 5 by Excelent for General public Although electric seems new for STIHL I took a chance at the best brand name. So far it has been great through the fall season. I would have liked the two speed offered with the BGE71 but did not want/need the bagger nor additional expense. December 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by I LOVE THIS THING.... I have gone through so many gas blowers...I hate gas now. I am switching all of my tools to electric. This Stihl Blower is amazing. Light and super powerful. And no more messing with gas. Words can not say enough for this tool. I have the Stihl Trimmer (Electric) now.....I am done with gas. You will be very happy with this unit. October 26, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by This unit is a step back from the HANDY previous models of Stihl electric blowers! Having owned each of the previous models, I find this unit is lacking the features that made them so handy.I particularly miss the rear blower housing handle. For 2 handed use for sweeping motions, the top handle is awkward.Places hands too close together. The cord retainer is awkward and difficult.Although quieter, it's also less powerful. The discharge nozzle is too short and should be curved on the bottom.Bring back the features of the original, including the 2 speed motor October 22, 2013
